Currently on an American Airlines flight watching a fully capable grown man leave his suitcase sitting in the aisle for everyone else to maneuver around. Flight attendants asked twice whose it was before he finally admitted it was his, saying he “didn’t know what to do with it” because there wasn’t space.
The attendants rearranged the overhead bins to make room for it, then asked him to place it up there himself because they aren’t allowed to lift passenger bags. Instead of getting up, he basically just stared at them like “welp.” Eventually another passenger had to unbuckle, stand up, and put his luggage away for him.
Meanwhile people with actual mobility limitations are out here trying not to hold things up. The level of helplessness some people choose is honestly wild.
