On a reddit news post about a Polish pedophile ring being rounded up and jailed there are several people asking how AI generated images of CSAM could possibly be “exploitation” and how it might actually help those who suffer from pedophilia. I don’t even know how to process this. Are these people so pro-AI that they’ll defend it no matter what, because no one has even mentioned animated or drawn versions of CSAM, or are they guilty of enjoying it themselves (hypothetical question as I don’t want to know the answer)? It’s just so sick and demented and my heart is just so broken over it.
