Finish FinalFantasyVI for the first time
What a game. I recently played the snes version on a handheld after always hearing great things about the game. I really enjoyed the game. I did not use a guide and wanted to play it and struggle through it. Some times it was hard to know where to go and some dungeons I had to reproach from a previous save point.
The storyline, characters, gameplay, and music were definitely up there among FFVII for me. So many great parts to experience for the first time that brought out different emotions. The ghost train, Magitek factory, floating continent, phoenix cave, and ultimately kefka’s tower and final sequence were so well done. Kefka’s tower and final sequence were really tough. I contemplated leaving and going to grind but I really wanted to finish. Took me about 5 times to beat the triad and Kefka. I was almost done for with just Edgar left but he did a final chainsaw and then I heard to crack.
Kefka kind of won though yeah? Pretty insane way to close a game.
Favorite characters were Terra, Sabin, Edgar, Locke, Celes, and Strago. Those were strongest characters at the end.
Will probably dive into the lore now that I am finished.
*Edit: loved how you had to essentially start over and find everyone in the WOR. Cool concept.
