Hi all, I could really use your help.

A bit of background: we had our garden done back in March, and I was struggling to come up with good flower bed ideas on a tight budget. I ended up ordering the “60 Plug Plants (6 of each variety) Rainbow Perennial Collection” from Thompson & Morgan (£9.99 each).

Best Value Rainbow Perennial Collection

They arrived in a small envelope, and most of the plugs had come out of their trays. I only realised afterwards that the labels were loose inside the package… after I’d already taken everything out 🤦‍♂️ So I had no idea what was what.

I put them into propagator trays under grow lights, and later noticed that some cells had 2–3 plants in them. I split them up… maybe a bit too successfully, because now I’ve got around 100 plants 😬

Some are still quite small because I ran out of space and had to leave them in tiny cells. I didn’t want to throw anything away (probably a mistake but I'll give some away once I used what I could), and now I definitely don’t have enough room for everything.

According to the website, the collection should include:

  • Achillea ‘Cerise Queen’
  • Aquilegia ‘Mrs Scott Elliott’
  • Coreopsis ‘Golden Joy’
  • Delphinium ‘Dark Blue + White Bee’
  • Dianthus ‘Rockin Red’
  • Digitalis ‘Dalmatian Mix’
  • Echinacea ‘Nectar Pink’
  • Geum ‘Mrs J Bradshaw’
  • Leucanthemum ‘Crazy Daisy’
  • Verbena ‘Buenos Aires’

So here’s where I need help: I have no idea what any of these plants are. I’ve tried plant ID apps but they all give different answers. Ai tools are slightly better, but I’m still getting suggestions like strawberries, which clearly isn’t right.

I know this is a big ask because the plants are all mixed across trays. I couldn’t group them properly as I was trying to give them at least some breathing room. Some don’t look their best either, I was away for 5 days, and a few are definitely in pots that are too small.

My plan is to start hardening them off and get them into the ground soon, but I really don’t want to just plant them randomly without knowing what they are.

If anyone can help identify even a few of them, I’d be massively grateful 🙏

EDIT: There is 4 cells with Savory and Dill, ignore those 😉
