I know, world cup is just over yada yada.

But I would think by now, we'd have gotten 1 target in, be part of pre-season. Show a bit of tactical direction and sort of profile we are going for.

I know, it's subjective and a bit s-post like, but I'm curious what we all think.

• Madueke was a trier but his first touch usually meant the defender was able to contain him.
• Saka was carrying an injury.
• Rashford wasnt given much time so hard to say.
• Same for Toney.

But I do think Bowen had the tools England needed.

• Ability to score edge and outside the box,
• Ability to take on and beat players.
• Good on the overlap and crossing.
• Comfortable when surrounded by players and get past the press.

To be clear, I don't think this would change the Argentina game, that was a Tuchel, tactical issue. But in general, I wonder if we'd have been a little more offensively strong with him in the side.
