I’ve been trying to learn MSA on my own using the Madinah books and YouTube but it’s been a struggle. I just spent a frustrating hour on it and I feel like either I’m not putting enough effort or I’m just not good at learning the language by myself. I’ve spent a lot of time learning to write the Arabic alphabet (which I enjoyed) but I also had to take a few months break from my self study and am trying to get back into it now.
What are your opinions on using a personal tutor to help with learning the language? I feel like it would help by having someone to communicate with as well as having someone provide feedback on my progress. I’d like to get an idea from those of you who have used a tutor on whether it’s beneficial. Or should I just commit to a certain amount of self study each day and see how it goes?
