AITA for asking my best friend to change her wedding date?
My (23f) best friend (25f) is getting married and im the maid of honor. Originally, she told me the wedding was going to be sometime in November next year but then she moved it up to November 14th this year and told all of us bridesmaids that was the new set date. Once I knew I was in the clear and the date was set, I bought tickets for a festival in Illinois (i live in Florida) for the 7th and made plans to drive up there with my boyfriend and another friend to all go together. Now, my friend decided to change the wedding date to the 7th because of a conflict with a hotel block which now falls on the same weekend I’ll be out of town. I specifically waited until a date was set to buy these tickets and im responsible for driving 2 others people so now im in a really tough situation. My boyfriend and i were very much looking forward to that festival as we dont get very many vacations but i also want to be there for my best friend for her day. So AITA?
