I’m trying to find the best smartphone camera for a very specific use case: zooming into laptop or monitor screens from a distance and still being able to clearly read text.

Right now I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and while it’s great overall, I’m wondering if there are better options specifically for this kind of zoom clarity (not just general photography).

What I’m looking for:

Strong telephoto/optical zoom performance
Ability to clearly capture text on a laptop/monitor screen from several meters away
Minimal blur, noise, or digital artifacting when zooming in
Good stability for handheld shots

I’ve seen people mention Samsung Ultra models and some Vivo / Xiaomi flagships, but I’m not sure what actually performs best for this specific use case.

Has anyone tested phones specifically for this kind of “screen readability at zoom” scenario?
