Struggling to get smooth animation

Struggling to get smooth animation

choppy animation

Hey everyone!

I’ve only been using Blender for 2 months yet I’ve already fallen in love with the art of 3D animation and 3D modeling. However, I’ve hit a roadblock and I don’t know which is the most efficient approach to tackling this problem. As I work on my first 3D animation, I noticed that my character’s animations look very jittery. It’s almost as if you can see each frame, despite the interpolation for every keyframe being set to “bezier”. For example, in the beginning sequence you can see my character is running, but it looks very choppy and unnatural. I tried to follow Alex On Story’s run cycle tutorial, but my character’s run cycle animation does not look anywhere near as smooth as his Mario’s run cycle animation. Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong and how I can fix these mistakes? As well as suggest the best up-to-date animation guides for me to follow?

*Note: My animation is animated at 24fps and 1080p. I also increased time stretching to 125 from the default 100 value. Also my pc has a 1060 6GB gpu so the max fps I can get in viewport for animation playback is 7fps.

Thank you!
