I can’t find a definitive answer on the internet for this. (I don’t drink, smoke, or have medical conditions. I’ve been off my GLP agonist for 15 days.)

Is it normal for the loopy/dissociative feeling on nitrous oxide to last all day?

I had some fillings this morning at 0930. Dentist and assistant started the NO and within a few minutes I felt very dizzy, like my head was being squashed, anxious, out of breath, a bit nauseous. I had had NO with them for another fillings procedure 2 months ago and it went fine. I’ve lost a bit of weight since then so maybe I don’t need as much now. They started up toward 40 units from last time and had to back off to 30 this time.

After the procedure, they ran oxygen for what felt like 15-20 minutes and kept asking how I felt. I felt it clear off and drove home, about 7 minutes’ drive and I did a couple things that seemed like I wasn’t paying attention, but I was.

it is now 7 in the evening and I still feel pretty loopy and inside of head feels mildly squished.

could it be that I just don’t tolerate NO that well? I can’t find where effects lasting all day is a normal experience for the stuff.
