This is my first post here. Today marks 2 years sober and it’s Mother’s Day too! Reflecting on where I was to now, I had lost my home and was in a DV shelter, my son was living with his dad, and I remember sitting my car chewing gum and trying to sober up before going into the shelter so the advocates wouldn’t know I had driven drunk.

Today, I’m free from all substances, spent the day with my son in our home, and celebrated 2 years sober with my AA family who has loved and supported me from day 1. This program really is full of miracles.
