I applied to a Greystar apartment 2 weeks ago. I'm on a sabbatical from work so currently have no income, but I submitted proof that I am still employed and when I return to work in a few months my salary is more than 3x rent. I also submitted proof of more than enough assets to cover the gap.
The leasing office told me that they had to submit a ticket to manually override the income requirements, but said it should be no issue.
However, it's been 2 weeks now. Every time I call, the leasing office says the ticket is stuck somewhere and there are no updates. We are 3 days from move in date and I'm starting to get really frustrated.
Does anyone have any experience or insight into this? Is this normal for Greystar properties?
