In the dark hours of dawn
I notice every flaw
Near none, close to perfection
My silent thoughts
I say out loud
An honest reflection
My soul lay bare
Ascends to sincerity
To match yours in the quiet sky
You stare back
Im drawn to your presence
My spiraling thoughts,
now a soft sigh
Where our hearts might ignite
A new flower blooms
As clear as the brightest star
Don’t pull away
The blink of an eye
Your memory forever a scar
So this one is really long and it doesn’t have a rhyme scheme except for the ending. I don’t know if I should even call this poetry or just a literary piece, but it’s just what I’m feeling right now and I didn’t want to ruin it by trying to make it rhyme.

“I Love You”
I love you is so simple. Three words, three syllables.
Its so simple I hate it.
Because nothing about loving you is simple.
I feel incomplete every second I don’t spend with you.
I feel broken every time you hurt me until you stitch my heart back up again.
I feel like crying a river when I think about those gorgeous blue eyes leaving mine.
If you live to be a 100, I hope I live a day less, so I dont have to spend a single day without your warm hand to hold mine.
If someone is mean to you, I want to protect you from all the harm they wish to do to you, so they don’t shatter the fragile perfection that you are.
If you have issues, I want to take them all and mend all the broken pieces of the story that is keeping you up at night.
My body is a garden, and my heart is the flower that is meant for you to tend to every hour of every day.
I don’t just love you.
I love the way you speak, and the way you smile,
I love the way your hair looks when it’s wet, and the way you smell like the perfect version of my future.
I love the way your voice excites me.
But most of all, I love the way you are always there to make my bad days a little better, and the dark hours a little lighter.
The way all the weight is lifted from my shoulders the moment my eyes lock onto yours,
And the way my lips feel after you’ve kissed me.
If you ever leave, I will come with you.
If you become sick, I will care for you.
If you are hurt, I will become a doctor myself so I can restore you back to the beautiful sweet girl you are now.
I see your eyes in the color of the sky,
I smell your breath on the wind,
I hear your soothing voice among the crowds.
If I were standing on a mountain, loving you would be the volcano that erupts beneath me.
If I were on top of the world, loving you would be the tsunami that comes crashing over me.
If I were to be on solid ground, loving you would be the earthquake that shatters my reality.

I Love You more than the first snowfall of the year.
I Love You more than a fresh breeze on a hot summer day.
I love you like I could never love myself,
