I had a car accident 18 months ago that gave me a bad concussion. Was told it would be gone in 2 weeks then 4 weeks then 6 weeks then 3 months and now it’s over a year and a half later and I’m drowning trying to keep a hold of a job, my relationship and day to day life.

I get all the classic symptoms. Ringing in my ears, nausea, vertigo, light and noise sensitivity and extreme brain fog that makes decision making and thinking feel like I’m walking through a lake of wet cement while my brain is screaming.

I do get headaches at times but they aren’t too bad.

A year ago I had worked up to 5 hours a day 4 days a week with work and was starting to really up my physical activity. But I slowly seem to be going backwards. Have dropped back to 4hrs 4 days a week and am crashing out most days and getting huge symptom load after a couple of hours.

I have started back with a physio, psychologist, and even tried some acupuncture but I’m not sure it is helping and I’m starting to lose hope.

Any advice would be appreciated. Do I need to give up work altogether? I feel like I’m better when I’m not at the computer so much. Looking for some hope I guess.
