Conversion of Child's SSDI at 62
I am 61 and will turn 62 later this year. I do not have a work history that would qualify me for SS.
I was disabled before the age of 22.
I received SSI up until my parent retired. I then began receiving SSDI off their record.
My questions are will I be forced onto SSI at retirement age because I don't have enough credits for SS retirement or will my child's SSDI convert to retirement?
I can't find a consistent answer online.
