I was quite the googly eyed derp. He was so kind. Told us his highlights from the fest and we talked about the dead shows. He and Gillian are having so much fun. They played the Preservation Hall Midnight preserves the night before. Surprise drop in!
Epic night!! David was on fire - the solos were a wild roller coaster, Gillian’s voice on the slow ones was like a warm blanket, Paul and Gillian played the snare and their instruments at the same time! The choices they made, the talent, the groovy music lovers all around me. Sigh…… such a night.
