Guys what do we need to bring on orientation,will classes start today itself?

Guys i am a cse major and am also planning to earn AIDS certification on the side .I have spent lots of time researching but I have been very indecisive 😭.So i need you guys to help me buy a laptop.

Budget is $2000 and size should be more than 14 inches

Any advice is much appreciated
