Bought it refurbished for ₹63,000 and got a 1-year Lenovo on-site warranty.
What do you guys think — was ₹63K a good deal for this refurbished unit? Any tips about how to care oled
so i wanted to get a 5050 laptop for 90k but looking at the prices i js gave up and decided to get a pc
are these specs good for 90k (the retailer is my fathers friend thats why im getting it for dirt cheap) and is it enough for
1080p gaming,blender,after effects,davinci resolve
I recently bought a used Lenovo IdeaPad 5 about 1.5 years old in mint condition, and I'd love to hear your opinions on whether I made the right decision.
The laptop looks almost new but has scratch on back panel of the screen and works perfectly so far.
For those who have owned an IdeaPad 5 or similar Lenovo laptops:
\\\\- How has the long-term reliability been?
\\\\- Any common issues I should watch out for?
\\\\- How well does the battery hold up after a couple of years?
\\\\- Is there anything I should test or check after buying a used one?
Also, be honest—if you were in my position, would you still have gone with this used laptop, or would you have preferred buying a brand-new laptop instead? Why?
Looking forward to your thoughts and experiences. Thanks!
After a lot of back-and-forth between a custom build and Lenovo, I finally pulled the trigger on a Lenovo Legion Tower 7i gen 10.
Got it for ₹3.81 lakh all-in after stacking Lenovo discounts/coupons.
I initially considered a custom 5080 build around ₹3.6–4L, but the Lenovo ended up being only ~₹15k more than a 64GB/2TB custom build I found, so I decided the 3-year onsite + ADP was worth it.
I chose the 850W PSU rather than Lenovo's 1200W option. From what I understand, 850W is within NVIDIA's recommendation for the RTX 5080, but let me know if there is any reason I should be concerned about that choice.
I'm starting with 32GB because Lenovo's 64GB upgrade was ridiculously expensive, and I'll upgrade later if needed. I also plan to add another NVMe rather than paying Lenovo's crazy SSD upgrade pricing.
1. OLED TV / monitor
I'm thinking of getting an LG OLED C2/C4/C5, probably 42", to pair with the 5080 for 4K gaming.
My target is roughly ₹85,000–₹1 lakh(C2 both 42 and 48 is available on flipkart for 85k).
Is that a good price for a C4/C5 right now, or would you guys wait for a better sale? Since newer LG OLED generations are already out, I'm wondering whether C5 prices might fall further during upcoming sales/Diwali.
For PC gaming, would you choose C4 vs C5 if the price difference is relatively small? And is there any reason to consider the C2 anymore at this price?
or shall I go for a standard 27/32 inch QD-OLED samsung / other brands like BENQ/MSI ?
2. Keyboard + mouse
Looking for a good keyboard and mouse, ideally wireless but I'm perfectly fine with wired too.
I'd prefer something reliable, comfortable and good for both gaming and normal desktop use.
What keyboard/mouse combinations are actually worth buying in India?
3. Speakers / audio
I'm also considering whether I should get a small speaker setup for the PC/TV.
Would you recommend getting dedicated desktop speakers, a soundbar, or just using the LG OLED's speakers?
Not looking for an insane audiophile setup — just something that sounds genuinely good for gaming, movies and general use.
4. Gaming/work desk
I want a fairly large desk for the PC, OLED, keyboard/mouse, etc. I'm open to both a regular sturdy desk and a motorized standing desk.
Ideally something around 150–180cm wide, stable enough for a heavy PC setup.
What are the best options in India right now?
5. Chair
Also looking for a good chair for long gaming/work sessions. I'm more interested in actual ergonomics and comfort than the "gaming chair" look.
Budget is flexible if there's a meaningful jump in quality.
And finally, any other must-have accessories / setup tips for a new RTX 5080 desktop + 4K OLED setup that I should buy from day one?
Thanks!
Help help!
I recieved laptop from flipkart today and delivery guy opened and clicked photo. There was no physical damage so I accepted but once I reached my room, I turned on the laptop and there was black circle in display. How can I apply for replacement, what should I do please help. I have not logged in my account in that pc just turned on and found the defect. I have applied for replacement and return stating damage product but not sure that gonna help.
Really confused as to what laptop should I really be going for according to the current market (fuck ai fuckass price hike)
I'm a cs student, a fresher basically and was looking to buy a laptop, was eyeing the loq/tuf 3050 6gb vram variants but I'm being paranoid whether I should go for it or get a 4050 instead for being "future proof". I am into gaming but not v hardcore + I rarely doubt i'd get the time. I'm mostly into story mode or occasionally valorant. Is 3050 even worth it in my case or should I just go for a Ryzen cpu with integrated graphics atp? I really wanna enjoy story mode games though. Very confused rn
My budget is 1L, although I'd prefer staying below 1L.
Title: Should I buy the Legion Pro 7 RTX 5080 for ₹4.13L and sell my 3-year-old Legion Slim 7i?
Hey everyone,
I'm considering upgrading from my Lenovo Legion Slim 7i 16IRH8 (2023) to a Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H RTX 5080, and I'm really unsure whether the upgrade is worth the money.
💻 My current laptop
Lenovo Legion Slim 7i 16IRH8 (2023)
i9-13900H
RTX 4070 8GB
32GB DDR5-5200
1TB SSD + 2TB WD Black SN850X that I added
16" 3200×2000 165Hz IPS
99.9Wh battery
~2kg
3 years old
Battery health: 78%
Originally bought for ~₹1.8L
It's still a very capable laptop, and I don't have a major performance problem with it.
My main issue is thermals. I live in Chennai, where ambient temperatures can reach 32–37°C in summer. The Slim 7i's thin chassis gets quite heat-soaked, so I often use a cooling pad, 100% fans and have CPU boost disabled.
That's one of the main reasons I'm interested in moving to the much thicker Legion Pro 7.
🚀 The upgrade
Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H
Core Ultra 9 275HX
RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 – 175W
32GB DDR5-6400
1TB SSD
16" 2560×1600 240Hz OLED
99.9Wh battery
400W adapter
Much thicker/heavier chassis and substantially better cooling
Lenovo's current quote is ₹4,13,566.
There are supposed to be exchange/cashback benefits that could eventually reduce the effective cost, but the exchange terms seem somewhat uncertain, so I'm not treating those as guaranteed.
💰 Another option: RTX 5070 Ti
I can also get the Legion Pro 7 with RTX 5070 Ti 12GB for around ₹3,24,990 on Flipkart from a well-rated seller (4.4★).
So that's roughly:
RTX 5070 Ti → ₹3.25L
vs.
RTX 5080 → ₹4.13L
That's almost ₹90K more for the 5080.
💵 What about selling my current Slim 7i?
Instead of exchanging it, I'm considering selling it separately.
It's 3 years old and has 78% battery health, but otherwise works normally.
Is ~₹1L realistic for this laptop in the Indian used market, or am I overestimating it?
If I could sell it for ₹90K–₹1L, that obviously makes the upgrade a little easier to justify.
🤔 What would you do?
Would you:
A) Buy the Legion Pro 7 RTX 5080 for ₹4.13L and sell the Slim 7i
B) Buy the Legion Pro 7 RTX 5070 Ti for ₹3.25L and save ~₹90K
C) Keep the Slim 7i and wait another year or two
I'm particularly interested in opinions from people who have gone from a Legion Slim → Legion Pro.
Is the improvement in cooling, sustained performance and everyday thermal behaviour actually noticeable enough to justify such a huge expenditure?
And between the 5080 16GB vs 5070 Ti 12GB, is the 5080 worth paying nearly ₹90K more if I want to keep the laptop for several years?
Would love to hear what you would personally do in my situation.
I’m planning to buy a laptop in India, but I’ve noticed that prices have increased a lot recently.
For example, a laptop I was tracking was around ₹52k about 8 months ago (45k after bank discount and sale) and the same/similar configuration is now around ₹65–69k.
I don’t urgently need to buy it right now, so I’m wondering whether I should wait. I need it in the next month or upcoming 2 months.
For people who regularly track laptop prices in India,
Do you think these current price increases are temporary, or should we expect prices to stay this high?
Is there any realistic chance that laptops in the ₹50–60k range will come back down?
Are the upcoming Amazon/Flipkart/Diwali sales likely to give meaningful discounts, or will the inflated prices simply get discounted from a higher MRP?
Historically, what has been the best time of year to get a good laptop deal in India?
I need a laptop for work, and it should give smooth support to ML models, running libraries, multi-tasking.
I’m mainly looking for price-market advice rather than laptop recommendations.
I ordered HP Victus on 7th of August and it's been 10 days the order has not shipped yet and the seller is Clicktech Retail Ltd. The last promised date was 18th of August and Amazon says Arriving Tomorrow I mean how come? By the way I am from Delhi.
I am getting lenevo slim 3i second hand for 35k 500 cycles of battery i7 version 16/512 please advice
Specs: ASUS TUF Gaming F16,Smartchoice,Intel Core 5 210H (i5-14th Gen),RTX 4050-6GB,140WTGP,16GB,512GB,FHD+,16",144Hz,Win 11,M365 Basic(1Year),Office-24,Mecha Gray,2.20 Kg, FX677VU-RL055WS, Gaming Laptop
Flipkart delivered it in 5 days, the deal was for 98k.
Now I want to know guys how to test it for benchmarks and what all should I set up ?

Hey everyone,
I'm in India and trying to decide whether I should upgrade my current laptop now or wait for the Diwali sales later this year. I'd really appreciate opinions from people who own Legions, especially the Pro 7, and anyone who has used Lenovo's Cashify exchange program.

Lenovo Legion Slim 7i 16IRH8 (2023)
I bought it for around ₹1.8 lakh three years ago.
It's still a very capable laptop and I don't have a major performance problem with it. My main issue is thermals in hot weather.
I live in a hot climate where ambient temperatures can reach 32–37°C in summer. Because the Slim 7i is so thin and the CPU/GPU/battery are packed into a relatively small chassis, it gets quite heat-soaked when I'm not using AC.
When the battery temperature gets to around 41–42°C+, I sometimes notice slight mouse/input lag and occasional stuttering/throttling.
I've been managing it with:
With those measures it's generally fine, but I'd prefer a laptop that has more thermal headroom rather than constantly managing temperatures.
LAPTOP LINK:
https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/configurator/cto/?bundleId=83F5CTO1WWIN2
Lenovo Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H
The main reasons I'm interested are:
RTX 4070 8GB → RTX 5080 16GB
and
Slim 7i chassis → much more substantial Pro 7 cooling system.
I'm hoping the latter will make a meaningful difference to sustained performance and everyday thermal behaviour in my environment.
The current Lenovo cart is approximately:
This includes the laptop and the discounted extended warranty/ADP package.
There is currently a Lenovo exchange promotion offering:
I checked Cashify for my HP Omen/Pavilion gaming laptop with GTX 1650 and got a quote of around ₹21K, but I'm conservatively assuming only ₹15K because I don't want to rely on the full quoted amount until the device is actually inspected.
So my conservative calculation is:
₹4,12,567
− ₹25,000 Lenovo exchange bonus
− ₹15,000 assumed Cashify value
= ₹3,72,567 effective
So I'm treating this as roughly a ₹3.73L deal.
There is also a ₹15K credit-card cashback offer, but I'm not counting it because I'm not sure I'll be able to use the qualifying card transaction. If I can, the effective price would be around ₹3.58L.
I'm not eligible for the student discount, so that's not part of the calculation.
The Lenovo configuration comes with a 1TB 2242 SSD, and Lenovo charges roughly ₹33K extra for the 2280 SSD option.
I'm definitely not paying that.
I already own a 2TB WD Black SN850X, which I bought last year for my current Slim 7i, so I'll reuse that in the Pro 7.
So the 1TB 2242 configuration isn't really a deal-breaker for me.
Considering I already have an i9-13900H + RTX 4070 Slim 7i, is the jump to 275HX + RTX 5080 16GB worth spending another ~₹3.7L?
I'm not in a desperate hurry to upgrade.
Diwali sales are coming later this year.
Do you think Lenovo could offer a meaningfully better deal on this exact Pro 7 RTX 5080 configuration around Diwali, or is there a significant risk that this particular configuration gets discontinued/sold out before then?
Would you personally:
A) Buy this now
B) Wait until September/October and watch prices
C) Wait specifically for Diwali
For anyone who has used both a Legion Slim and Legion Pro, how noticeable is the difference in:
My main motivation isn't just FPS — it's getting away from the thermal limitations of the Slim chassis.
I was also considering a Pro 7 with the RTX 5070 Ti 12GB, which is considerably cheaper.
Would you spend the extra money for:
5080 16GB / 175W
versus
5070 Ti 12GB / 140W
if the goal is to keep the laptop for several years?
This is particularly important.
Has anyone here used Cashify through Lenovo's exchange program?
I'd like to know:
I actually have two old HP laptops:
HP Omen GTX 1650: works and boots normally, but has a battery issue. Cashify quoted ~₹21K.
Older HP laptop: heavily worn, missing screws, damaged/broken base, keyboard barely works and only powers on with AC. I'm not expecting much from this one.
I'm leaning toward using the Omen for the exchange if the final valuation is reasonable.
Current laptop:
Legion Slim 7i 16IRH8
i9-13900H / RTX 4070 8GB / 32GB DDR5-5200 / 3.2K 165Hz IPS / 99.9Wh / ~2kg
Bought for ~₹1.8L.
Potential upgrade:
Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H
Ultra 9 275HX / RTX 5080 16GB 175W / 32GB DDR5-6400 / 1600p 240Hz OLED / 99.9Wh / 400W / much beefier cooling.
Current Lenovo cart: ₹4,12,567
Conservatively assuming:
− ₹25K Lenovo exchange bonus
− ₹15K Cashify value
= ~₹3.73L effective
Potential ₹15K credit-card cashback could bring it to ~₹3.58L, but I'm not counting that for now.
I already own a 2TB SN850X, so I won't pay Lenovo ~₹33K for the 2280 SSD upgrade.
Would you buy this now, or wait for Diwali? And if you've used Cashify/Lenovo exchange, how was your experience?

I am a jee aspirant and i want to buy a good gaming laptop when i join college next year around August, i had planned on buying a 5060 loq when it launched , and when i saw the price increasing it has started to worry me a little bit because my parents wont push the budget beyond 1.2L or 1.3L , and 5050 has crossed that mark already, I might have to get a 40 series laptop which i dont want
So i need some advice about what should i do? Will the price hike continue in 2027 also? Or is there hope of the price going back to normal
Looking for a laptop for *first 2 years* of college which involve very light coding and notes, ill upgrade to a gaming one after sem 4 and my moms gonna use the laptop for her work. Im currently planning on getting Asus Vivobook S14 16/512, might be open to spend upto 95k if theres a better option with 24/1tb. Open to suggestions for other laptops mostly from Asus/lenovo/HP and will buy only from Amazon/Reliance/Croma/Vijay Sales/Official Website
NO gaming laptops, good battery life, preferably <2kg,screen size doesnt matter.
Hi I'm about to buy my first gaming laptop my price range is 1.3 lakh but the issue is I can only buy it through emi and I don't have any laptop to exchange for it, I have searched reddit and yt and figured out these two laptops they are in my price range I have no idea how good these two are
I need a laptop to run Davinci resolve, Affinity and play games such as Cyberpunk, Valorant, Marvel Rivals Gta5
I came here ask for any other suggestions or any comments on the laptops I have chosen
Help me make a decision Thanks in advance :)
