Tonya is a sweet, loving calm girl who is only about 1 yr old and 50lbs. She’s a little shy due to being a street dog prior to rescue, but wow does she have potential!

She is mild manner, willing to please, good with all dogs and cats, all she needs is a loving and generous home to keep showing her that people are good and she is valued.

Tonya would do best in a calm home with another pup to love on and show her how to dog. She is housetrained, but needs some leash training skills.

Picture Perfect Wendy is looking for her forever home! 😍🐾💜

Wendy is not only supermodel material (just look at her photos 🤩), she is also a model pup in behavior. Once a scared & untrusting girl, she is now a brave girl who loves to play with other dogs, is affectionate with her foster mom and loves meeting new people.

While she loves to play with other pups and we think she would excel in a home with a young pup playmate, we think she may be too playful for cats.

Wendy is very affectionate and wants a family that wants her around as much as she wants to be around them…lots of cuddles & pets, please!

She is also very smart and is able to learn quickly, making her a joy to go on adventures with and to teach her new things.

We believe Wendy to be able 2 yrs old, currently a healthy 50ish lbs. She is spayed and UTD on all vaccinations.

Jefferson is making his debut on Independence Day as he should since he’s named after another famous redhead that wrote the Declaration of Independence 🇺🇸

Jeff is a gorgeous 4 year old American English Coonhound that was found as a stray in rural Kentucky. Thanks to some dedicated volunteers Jefferson became a Hero Hound!

Living in a house is new to him so we’re working on house training and crate training. Jeff is great with other dogs of all sizes and ages. He likes to play and enjoys toys & bones. Jeff has a little more vetting required but once that is done he will be available for adoption. Get your apps in early because this boy won’t last!

River is an 8 month old walker puppy that is available for adoption through Hero Hound Rescue 🐶. If you need some puppy antics in your life please apply at www.herohounds.org/adopt.

River’s front legs are bowed due to abuse as a young puppy but she doesn’t let it slow her down! When her growth plates close, she will have surgery to fix her legs. In the meantime we’d love to see her in her forever home 🏡 🐾💕

Introducing the handsome & snuggly Wrangler! 😍🐾💙

Wrangler found himself in a kill shelter in East TN after his owners didn’t claim him. People in the area he used to roam commented about what an angel he was & how all he wanted was love, so HERO decided to give him that chance at love!

Wrangler is dog friendly with all size dogs, seems to ignore cats and loves all people. He is housetrained and crate trained, though he dreams of a home that will let him snuggle in bed & cuddle on the couch. He also loves car rides & new adventures!

Wrangler is about 7-8 months old, is not fully vetted yet, but will be prior to adoption. He is about 45lbs.
