5/13/2026: Nugget was in the back of the kennel laying down, alert ears neutral body and face. Was able to leash and he got up and followed me out to the runs. Held a loose leash walking ahead of me, low swaying tail and erect ears.

5/15/2026: Nugget is at the front of the kennel ready to go outside, holds a loose leash, wagging tail and loose body. Walked to and from the runs no issues.

5/16/2026: Was moved to the North Building today. Nugget has been barking all morning, standing at the front of the kennel, heavily panting, with a low tail and dilated pupils. Covered kennel.

5/17/2026: When approaching this morning I could see that Nugget was heavy panting, with a tense/stiff body. She leashed well but walked on a semi-loose leash to the runs, occasionally trying to pull ahead but would redirect for treats. Coming back in she continued to walk on a semi-loose leash and since being back in her kennel she has been non-stop vocalizing.

5/17/2026 13:07: Alarm barking from behind sheet when citizens were walking through the row after opening.

5/18/2026: Nugget continues to be vocal in the morning and when people pass by. Extra enrichment was offered, and he quieted down for a bit but eventually started barking again. The kennel door remains covered.

11/15/2025: Vaccinated with DA2PP-V and Bordetella. Dewormed and given Pyrantel and Advantage Multi flea prevention.

11/17/2025: PARVOTEST NEGATIVE.

He’s the more reserved half of a kennelmate duo, happy to let his friend MILO take the spotlight while he hangs back and watches quietly from behind. But WINSTON deserves to be seen too.

He’s dog friendly, gentle, and just wants a chance to leave this shelter alive.He needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER, from near or far to help him now!

WINSTON and MILO do not need to be adopted together — but after spending so much time side by side, we know they’d both love to know the other one made it out safely too. 🤍

🆘 The shelter has issued a PLEA for BENNY! That means BENNY will be euthanized Wednesday May 20 unless a FOSTER or ADOPTER comes forward for him by 6pm on May 19!

🚨 BENNY is so terrified in the shelter. He cuddles with new friend Louie for comfort which means he is sweet and dog friendly. BENNY would do well with another confident dog at home to show him the ropes of how to dog.

He might be scared but he allows touching and handling so we know he's a good boy. With time to decompress and patience to let him set the pace BENNY would come out of his shell and blossom into a fun loving dog.

Now is the time to HELP us get good boy BENNY out of the shelter in time.His life is in danger every Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning before the shelter opens to the public

URGENT NOW-HELP NEEDED‼️Staff has issued a PLEA which means COTTON WILL be euthanized this Wednesday morning 5/20‼️ What an incredible beauty young COTTON is. She is looking for a home with a yard and a human who will go places as huskies love to be active🐾, are highly intelligent and may even talk back to you.

Notes:
She spent her time in the play yard running and sniffing the grounds. She enjoyed being out and about taking in the scenery. She would come over for an occasional treat and head rub. She really was a lot of fun and I think she would make a great companion for someone. Very pretty dog too!

Please choose to adopt COTTON today. Bring a blanket, crate, collar and leash so she can trot out the front door with you today! She is one of the very LONGEST stay dogs.

🚨 Meet Long Stay Momma JENNA While other dogs had the chance to be seen, JENNA was busy being a mother in one of the hardest places imaginable to raise babies — surrounded by loud barking, constant stress, strange smells, and invisible illnesses that prey on vulnerable, unvaccinated puppies.

The shelter euthanizes dogs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday without notice and we are worried for JENNA. Please Choose her NOW as she is OUT of TIME!

This beautiful girl with one blue eye, one hazel eye, and the sweetest pink snoot gave everything she had to her babies. You can see it in her body. She is painfully underweight after pouring all of her nourishment into keeping her puppies alive and healthy.
