Mouse thought he spotted a treat nearby, so of course he had to investigate. 😂🥹 But what he’s really searching for is a family of his own.

This handsome 4-year-old Lab mix with gorgeous green eyes is smart, friendly with people, dog-friendly, and has so much love to give. ❤️

Unfortunately, Mouse has been waiting at Harris County Pets since 6/30, and as a long-stay dog, his time is running out. Euthanasia takes place in the morning before the shelter opens to the public. Without an adopter, foster, or rescue stepping up, tomorrow could be too late.

Please help us get Mouse seen. SHARE, COMMENT, TAG someone, or PLEDGE for rescue support. Even one share could reach the person who saves his life.

𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭! 𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 NOW- FOSTER NEEDED‼️Out of State Adoption IS Possible‼️ Look at DALLAS’ eyes. This sweet senior boy is SCARED, and all he wants is comfort. 🥹 7-year-old DALLAS seeks reassurance and affection from any human that will spend time with him. He is frightened and unsure here, and wants someone to make it better. 💕

His eyes say so much. DALLAS should be spending his senior years somewhere he feels safe and loved—not frightened in a shelter kennel, wondering what happened to the life he knew.

Meet adorable MILEY! 💛 She's 2 years old, dog friendly, heartworm NEGATIVE and quite possibly the owner of the most spectacular ears currently residing at Harris County Pets. She is in danger at Harris County Pets by no fault of her own at an overcrowded shelter‼️

Please go meet Miley!

Seriously. LOOK AT THEM. 😂 Those ears are entirely too big for her head, which is exactly what makes them perfect. Add in that gorgeous tricolour coat, little white chest and those white-tipped toes and MILEY is ridiculously cute.

🐶 MILEY is also dog friendly and currently shares her kennel with another dog. She's been at the shelter since 8/31, though, which means this adorable girl is already LONG STAY and at risk simply because she's been waiting too long.

We love a tricolour dog, we love ridiculous ears, and we would really love to see MILEY walk out of here with a foster or adopter. 🥹 Please help this sweet girl be seen before she spends another week waiting.

💔 Imagine finally leaving the shelter, thinking you’ve found your forever home, only to end up right back where you started.

That’s exactly what happened to LINCOLN A630715. 🥺

This sweet 6-year-old boy was adopted from Harris County Pets, only to be surrendered back on September 17th because his owner was reportedly allergic. Now Lincoln is back in a frightening, unfamiliar environment, struggling with anxiety and fear. He doesn’t understand why the home he once knew is gone. 💔

🐾 BUT LINCOLN IS TRYING! Shelter staff have been working with him, and he’s slowly beginning to trust again. Recent notes describe him sitting beside a staff member on the playground and allowing gentle pets. 🥹❤️

Those may seem like small victories, but for a scared dog, they’re HUGE!

Lincoln is currently kenneled alone because he’s afraid. He needs someone patient and compassionate who will give him the time and space to feel safe again.

🚨 LINCOLN IS ON THE LONG STAY LIST! PLEASE GO MEET HIM THIS WEEKEND! His previous adoption didn’t work out, but that doesn’t mean his story has to end here.

🐕 MEET LINCOLN

🧡 ID: A630715
🧡 Age: 6 years
🧡 Weight: 74 lbs
🧡 Neutered male
🧡 People-friendly
🧡 Heartworm NEGATIVE!
🧡 Kennel: 1B03
🧡 Owner surrendered 9/17
🧡 Currently kenneled alone due to fear

📸 Lincoln’s Shelter Profile:
https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/HRRS/A630715

More Notes:

🧡 Slowly learning to trust: Although initially trembling, avoiding eye contact, and looking for an escape, Lincoln voluntarily approached a staff member, sat beside them, and allowed gentle petting.

🧡 Sensitive to noise: Loud barking makes him flinch, and he appears extremely anxious in his kennel.

🧡 Making progress: Staff successfully leashed him and took him into the play yard, where he explored, sniffed around, and eventually sat beside staff.

🧡 Needs careful introductions

🧡 Resource guarding precautions: Lincoln must be fed separately and should not share toys or other items with dogs until he is completely comfortable

🧡 Needs decompression: Staff recommend allowing him several days to settle before expecting him to interact comfortably.

❤️ Most importantly: Lincoln has shown that despite his fear, he's capable of seeking human companionship and accepting affection. He needs someone who understands that trust takes time.

✨ OUT-OF-STATE ADOPTION IS POSSIBLE! ✨

Not in Texas? You can STILL help save Lincoln! Out-of-state adoption may be possible with rescue assistance to help coordinate transportation and next steps.

🚨🆘 URGENT — TAZ HAS BEEN WAITING SINCE SEPTEMBER 3RD AND NEEDS OUT! 🆘🚨

TAZ is 7 years old and has already spent more than three weeks sitting in a shelter kennel. 💔 This handsome Dogo Argentino mix came in as a stray, and now he desperately needs someone to help give him a second chance.

At his age, TAZ should be sleeping on a comfy bed in a home — not watching day after day pass from inside a kennel.

💔 TAZ is heartworm positive, but heartworms are treatable. He needs someone willing to help get him to safety and through the care he needs.

🚨 URGENT — MARSHALL A661926 NEEDS OUT NOW 🚨

🤍🖤 LOOK AT THIS HANDSOME SPOTTED BOY! MARSHALL is only 2 years old and 34 lbs — young, medium-sized and covered in the cutest little spots. 🥹

This sweet, friendly 2-year-old deserves to walk out the FRONT DOOR and finally find out what it feels like to belong to someone. 🤍🖤

And we know something important about him: MARSHALL IS PEOPLE-FRIENDLY. 💕 He was so friendly when Animal Control picked him up as a stray that they specifically made note of it.

Now this sweet boy is sitting ALL ALONE in a shelter kennel, with absolutely no idea why he’s there or how he’s supposed to get someone to notice him. 💔

🚨 MARSHALL has officially hit LONG-STAY status, which means his time is running out. He needs a FOSTER, ADOPTER OR RESCUE PLAN ASAP.

Please don’t assume someone else will save him. There are SO many dogs needing help and far too few people able to network them. MARSHALL needs us to get his face in front of the person who can save his life.

🥺 Imagine being scared and alone when a stranger suddenly loops something around your neck, puts you in a truck and takes you to a loud, unfamiliar place. You don’t understand what’s happening or whether anyone around you is safe.

That’s LOLLY.

💕 She is scared — but underneath that fear is a girl who WANTS affection. Give her a little patience and you can actually watch her walls come down. She approaches. She accepts pets. Her eyes soften. And that little tucked tail eventually starts to WAG. 🥹

She isn’t asking for much. She just needs someone willing to give her a chance to feel safe.

🦴 And this girl is SMART! LOLLY is treat motivated and learned SIT in about THREE tries. She has so much potential with someone patient who can help build her confidence.

💛 She’s also been dealing with some skin irritation, but she received medication and is already feeling better. Now she needs something medicine can’t provide: a safe place where she can finally exhale.

🚨 LOLLY HAS BEEN WAITING SINCE 9/10. SHE IS LONG STAY AND URGENT. Being frightened in the shelter doesn’t buy her more time. Please don’t let fear be the reason this sweet girl is overlooked.

🐾 CAN YOU FOSTER? Even a temporary foster can give LOLLY the chance to decompress and show everyone who she really is.
