Kennel mate adopted and has been there since JULY! Please HELP‼️‼️‼️ Out of State Adoption IS Possible! Don’t wait to apply!

Sweet DALLY has been waiting since 7/17 for someone to choose her. 💔 At just 2 years old, her nights shouldn’t be spent sleeping on a concrete shelter floor surrounded by the constant noise and stress of hundreds of dogs.

She deserves a soft bed. A quiet place to sleep. A family who makes her feel safe. 🩷

And despite everything, DALLY is still people-friendly AND dog-friendly. She’s currently kenneled with SAMMY, a dog she met at the shelter, and has managed to make friends even in such a stressful environment. 🐾

🎀 DALLY — A659219
• German Shepherd mix
• 2 years old | 52 lbs | Female- will be spayed
• 🐶 Dog-friendly — kenneled with SAMMY

🚨 PLEASE don’t let heartworms stop you from considering DALLY. Heartworms are treatable, and rescue support/pledges can help get her the care she needs. What she needs most right now is a chance to get OUT.

PLEASE DON’T LET THIS SWEET, GENTLE GIRL’S STORY END IN A SHELTER!

Precious MARTINA is only ONE YEAR OLD, but she’s already facing an urgent situation at Harris County Pets. 😭
The shelter environment is frightening and overwhelming for this young girl. In her video, Martina gently takes a treat from the videographer, showing her sweet nature and willingness to trust. 💗 You can see a girl who needs patience, kindness, love, and the chance to feel safe.

❤️Imagine how differently this scared puppy could blossom in a loving home, away from the noise, stress, and concrete floors of the shelter. Martina deserves the chance to be someone’s beloved family member, not another forgotten face behind kennel bars. 🏡💞

Meet adorable MILEY! 💛 She's 2 years old, dog friendly, heartworm NEGATIVE and quite possibly the owner of the most spectacular ears currently residing at Harris County Pets. She is in danger at Harris County Pets by no fault of her own at an overcrowded shelter‼️

Please go meet Miley!

Seriously. LOOK AT THEM. 😂 Those ears are entirely too big for her head, which is exactly what makes them perfect. Add in that gorgeous tricolour coat, little white chest and those white-tipped toes and MILEY is ridiculously cute.

🐶 MILEY is also dog friendly and currently shares her kennel with another dog. She's been at the shelter since 8/31, though, which means this adorable girl is already LONG STAY and at risk simply because she's been waiting too long.

We love a tricolour dog, we love ridiculous ears, and we would really love to see MILEY walk out of here with a foster or adopter. 🥹 Please help this sweet girl be seen before she spends another week waiting.

🚨HILDA SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 10/11 @ 11AM FOR MEDICAL🚨

PLEASE SHARE EVERYWHERE!

2 year old Frenchie girl Hilda is incredibly sweet, but her body is failing her.

She was found as a stray & adopted on 9/15, but returned today for medical care after her spinal condition progressed to the point where she is now unable to walk on her hindquarters.

Hilda has severe intervertebral disc disease. Her radiographs showed narrowed disc spaces at L5-L7 with calcified discs, along with collapsed disc spacing from T10-T13 on all views. She has previously dragged both rear legs, causing sores on top of her paws, & has had paraparesis, meaning she had some rear-leg movement at one point. She is now experiencing paralysis in her hindquarters.

This condition also affects more than her ability to walk. Hilda has experienced urinary incontinence & was diagnosed with a UTI, with blood, white blood cells, bacteria, calcium oxalate crystals, & struvite crystals found in her urine. Because of her IVDD, she is prone to recurrent UTIs & constipation & may require a prescription urinary diet. She needs follow-up with a full-service vet as well as a surgeon / neurologist.

She also has an aural hematoma on her right ear pinna & bilateral otitis externa (ear infections), for which she received ear meds, & she has been restarted on Carprofen for pain.

Hilda requires a serious commitment to vet care. She needs someone who understands that taking on a Frenchie with severe IVDD can mean significant, ongoing medical expenses, specialty care, & a lot of patience.

She is just the sweetest little girl. Today, she happily allowed pets & was calm, gentle, & easy to handle. All she wants is people & affection.

She needs a verified vet appt before leaving, & someone prepared to give her the long-term care her condition requires.

💔 Imagine finally leaving the shelter, thinking you’ve found your forever home, only to end up right back where you started.

That’s exactly what happened to LINCOLN A630715. 🥺

This sweet 6-year-old boy was adopted from Harris County Pets, only to be surrendered back on September 17th because his owner was reportedly allergic. Now Lincoln is back in a frightening, unfamiliar environment, struggling with anxiety and fear. He doesn’t understand why the home he once knew is gone. 💔

🐾 BUT LINCOLN IS TRYING! Shelter staff have been working with him, and he’s slowly beginning to trust again. Recent notes describe him sitting beside a staff member on the playground and allowing gentle pets. 🥹❤️

Those may seem like small victories, but for a scared dog, they’re HUGE!

Lincoln is currently kenneled alone because he’s afraid. He needs someone patient and compassionate who will give him the time and space to feel safe again.

🚨 LINCOLN IS ON THE LONG STAY LIST! PLEASE GO MEET HIM THIS WEEKEND! His previous adoption didn’t work out, but that doesn’t mean his story has to end here.

🐕 MEET LINCOLN

🧡 ID: A630715
🧡 Age: 6 years
🧡 Weight: 74 lbs
🧡 Neutered male
🧡 People-friendly
🧡 Heartworm NEGATIVE!
🧡 Kennel: 1B03
🧡 Owner surrendered 9/17
🧡 Currently kenneled alone due to fear

📸 Lincoln’s Shelter Profile:
https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/HRRS/A630715

More Notes:

🧡 Slowly learning to trust: Although initially trembling, avoiding eye contact, and looking for an escape, Lincoln voluntarily approached a staff member, sat beside them, and allowed gentle petting.

🧡 Sensitive to noise: Loud barking makes him flinch, and he appears extremely anxious in his kennel.

🧡 Making progress: Staff successfully leashed him and took him into the play yard, where he explored, sniffed around, and eventually sat beside staff.

🧡 Needs careful introductions

🧡 Resource guarding precautions: Lincoln must be fed separately and should not share toys or other items with dogs until he is completely comfortable

🧡 Needs decompression: Staff recommend allowing him several days to settle before expecting him to interact comfortably.

❤️ Most importantly: Lincoln has shown that despite his fear, he's capable of seeking human companionship and accepting affection. He needs someone who understands that trust takes time.

✨ OUT-OF-STATE ADOPTION IS POSSIBLE! ✨

Not in Texas? You can STILL help save Lincoln! Out-of-state adoption may be possible with rescue assistance to help coordinate transportation and next steps.

🤍🖤 LOOK AT THIS HANDSOME SPOTTED BOY! MARSHALL is only 2 years old and 34 lbs — young, medium-sized and covered in the cutest little spots. 🥹

This sweet, friendly 2-year-old deserves to walk out the FRONT DOOR and finally find out what it feels like to belong to someone. 🤍🖤

And we know something important about him: MARSHALL IS PEOPLE-FRIENDLY. 💕 He was so friendly when Animal Control picked him up as a stray that they specifically made note of it.

Now this sweet boy is sitting ALL ALONE in a shelter kennel, with absolutely no idea why he’s there or how he’s supposed to get someone to notice him. 💔

🚨 MARSHALL has officially hit LONG-STAY status, which means his time is running out. He needs a FOSTER, ADOPTER OR RESCUE PLAN ASAP.

Please don’t assume someone else will save him. There are SO many dogs needing help and far too few people able to network them. MARSHALL needs us to get his face in front of the person who can save his life.
