๐ฅ VIDEOS THROUGHOUT THE COMMENTS
๐ Volunteer Notes:
If you really wanna see how sweet this girl is, you have to see her videos and how gentle she is. Mama Lola didnโt mind me coming into the kennel with her babies at all. She took treats nicely and had a relaxed body. She reached up no problem and we just trotted outside. She is an excellent dog herself let alone being a fantastic mom. Her little babies look like polar bears. So so cute! How did the runs? She put her head in my lap and would lean in for head scratches. Iโm scared that she wonโt make it because there are a lot of moms with babies right now. ๏ฟผI love this Mom! Watch her videos throughout the comments. ๏ฟผ
๐น Intake:
Field intake.
๐ Shelter Notes:
7/29/2026: Lola was lying in the back of the kennel nursing her babies. She remained in the kennel because she did not want to leave while feeding them.
7/29/2026: During afternoon cleaning, staff assisted with moving Lola and her puppies. Lola allowed gentle petting while staying with her babies. She was carefully carried from the kennel, calmly followed staff, and waited nearby while the kennel was cleaned. She was then reunited with her puppies without any issues.
Lola is a calm, devoted mother whose entire focus is caring for her babies. Staff found her quietly nursing in her kennel, reluctant to leave her puppies. When gently approached, she happily accepted affection and even allowed staff to handle her newborns. She lovingly followed alongside the puppy being carried, staying close with a relaxed body until her kennel was cleaned before calmly returning to her family. Lola has shown herself to be gentle, trusting, and completely devoted to her little ones.
๐ Medical Notes:
Lola: Lactating. Weighs 42.8 lbs. Vaccinated (DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies), dewormed, flea prevention given. Heartworm: Low Positive.
Puppies: Six 4-week-old Siberian Husky Mix puppies. No treatment given due to age.
Mom Lola is lactating, and is caring for six 4-week-old puppies. She tested low heartworm positive, a very treatable condition, and has been vaccinated, dewormed, and given flea prevention. Her puppies are all extremely young (approximately 4 weeks old) and considered immature, with no medical treatment given due to their age.

Kingston Needs a Hero ๐ถ Urgent Rescue Needed (Cobb County, GA)โจ
๐ข Update 28.07.26
Kingston has been adopted โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Kingston is currently available for adoption at:
๐ Cobb County Animal Services โ Marietta, Georgia
โ๏ธ (770) 499-4136
Today, while volunteering at the shelter, I was asked to spend some time with a young puppy named Kingston and help share his story.
What I learned was heartbreaking.
Kingston is only six months old, yet he has already been returned to the shelter three times.
He first arrived as a stray at just four months old. Each time he was adopted, he was eventually brought back. The most common reason?
"He has too much energy."
But Kingston isn't "too much."
He's a puppy.
Puppies are naturally energetic. They need patience, guidance, training, and a family willing to help them grow.
I spent time walking Kingston today, and throughout our visit he was nothing but sweet, affectionate, and excited to be around people.
At one point, he picked up a toy and proudly carried it for the entire walk. It was as if it had become his greatest treasure.
Despite everything he's already experienced in such a short life, Kingston still greets the world with a wagging tail, a toy in his mouth, and hope that someone will finally choose himโand keep that promise forever.
If you think you could be that person, Kingston is waiting.
โค๏ธ Every dog deserves a family that doesn't give up on them.
Update because I made a mistake. Caroline and her 8 puppies are in danger today. Euthanasia Monday 7/27 @ 1 pm CT, BARC Houston, A2087652. They need a local foster and rescue to make it out. Dad is BARC as well. Please share.

Euthanasia Request
๐ Shelter Notes:
7/6/2026: Very wiggly.
7/13/2026: Mongoose was a Move Adopt and walked on a semi-loose leash with slight forward pulling. He was energetic and friendly, allowed petting, became briefly aroused in his kennel, then quickly settled and sat at the kennel gate with a forward body, dilated eyes, ears up, and fast wagging tail.
7/14/2026: Mongoose stood by his kennel door with a wiggly body and wagging tail. He briefly stood against the kennel door, then sat to be leashed. Because of the rain he walked under the covered area on a semi-pulling leash and occasionally became jumpy outside.
7/17/2026: Mongoose presented with a very wiggly body, high fast wagging tail, and soft open mouth with his tongue out. Once leashed, he walked on a semi-forward leash while occasionally jumping on the handler. Outside, he began to thrash and alligator roll on the leash while yelping, but after a few seconds he calmed down and continued walking without issues.
7/19/2026: Approaching the kennel, Mongoose greeted me with a wiggly body, ears up, open-mouth smile, high fast wagging tail, and dilated eyes. He walked on a semi-loose leash with slight forward pulling, paid little attention to other dogs, and remained energetic despite treat redirection.
7/20/2026: Mongoose greeted me at the gate with a wiggling body, ears up, open-mouth smile, high fast wagging tail, and dilated eyes. He walked on a semi-loose leash but pulled forward slightly. He paid little attention to other dogs and was jumpy and energetic, with treats offering little redirection.
7/21/2026: During morning walks and feedings, Mongoose paced in his kennel and occasionally jumped on the kennel walls. He greeted me with a wiggly body, ears up, open-mouth smile, tongue out, high fast wagging tail, and dilated eyes. He walked on a loose leash, was energetic to and from the outside runs, paid little attention to other dogs, and happily took a pig ear back to his cot.
7/22/2026: Mongoose greeted me by his kennel door with a relaxed body, high fast wagging tail, and soft open mouth. Once leashed he walked on a loose leash with a wiggly body and would occasionally jump around and on me, but was easily redirected with treats.
๐ Medical Notes:
7/6/2026: Weighed 39.0 lbs. Normal intake exam. Vaccinated (DA2PP-V, Bordetella, Rabies), dewormed, and given Pyrantel and Advantage Multi. No heartworm test recorded.
