We are a volunteer network dedicated to helping at-risk dogs. We are not affiliated with BARC. We connect at-risk animals at the BARC shelter with the adopters, fosters, and rescue organizations needed to save their lives. We can help coordinate out-of-state adoption through approved 501(c)3 rescues. 9/28/2026: Grandson got arrested, left dogs in her yard. 4 Bulldogs, 1 mom and 3 puppies. Senior citizen can’t take care of them, having allergic reactions to dogs

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

9/29/2026: Approaching kennel, dog is lo growling with tense face and curling lip as I attempt to leash. Once she was, she ca,me out and scurried out with low hanging tail and worried facial expression. Once retrieving from run, dog held a much loose body and swaying tail.

9/30/2026: Dog was at the front of the kennel wagging tail, soft face and loose body. As I leashed she walked out of the kennel and followed me out to the runs holding a semi-loose leash, wagging tail and soft face. Walked to and from the runs no issues

10/2/2026: Zinnia walks on a semi-tight leash and shows no interest in treats. While in the kennel, Zinnia will sometimes growl and lunge at the front of the kennel when walking past kennel with and/or without a dog.

10/4/2026: Zinnia was standing in front of the kennel gate with a wiggling body, ears up, fast wagging tail, and dilated eyes. She was walked on a semi-loose leash and friendly to and from the outside runs. Once back in her kennel, when she saw a customer peaking over her sheet she would vocalize towards them until they left her sight. Later in the afternoon, she did the same thing to me but once I opened the kennel and babytalk to her she was presented with a wiggling body and fast wagging tail.

DRACO A655725 is only 1½ years old, 49 lbs and already full grown — the perfect medium-sized boy. And seriously… those squishy cheeks, soft eyes and that smile?! 😭💕

Outside of his kennel, Draco showed such a sweet side. He was excited to get into the play yard, where he happily sniffed and explored with a relaxed body, happy mouth and wagging tail. When his person sat down, Draco came right over and sat with them. 🥹

🐾 He also does great on leash! Toys didn’t seem nearly as important to him as being close to his person — maybe no one has ever shown him how much fun toys can be. 💔

But Draco has been at the shelter since 9/9 and is now LONG STAY & URGENT. He needs someone to make a plan for him NOW.

Look at this gentle, sweet face! This is Flan (ID: A598455), a darling 2-year-old Pit Bull mix who desperately needs a hero to step up and save her right now!

Flan's time is up. She is on the urgent medical exit list at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter with an absolute final deadline Today, October 4th at 2:00 PM PDT!

This sweet girl has been through so much. She was rescued off the streets after good Samaritans found her being attacked by two other dogs. Despite what she went through, when the rescuers called her over, she came right to them, showing how incredibly friendly, gentle, and trusting she is!

Flan was brought in with skin irritation, hair thinning, and abrasions from the attack. Because the shelter cannot provide the extended skin treatment and quiet medical care she needs, her medical clock expires today.

Transport across the US and Canada can take 2-4 weeks to arrive, giving you plenty of time to set up and prepare your home for your new best friend! 10/4/2026: At the back of the kennel with a tense body, low growling, and teeth showing. I opened the door and attempted to leash, but he began bluff charging at me with tail high. I attempted several times, before leaving in place as kennel was clean. Changed blanket and replaced water.

Big Mac has shown aggressive behaviors in the shelter towards other dogs over space and food guarding. It is important to remember that high-stress shelter life can push dogs to display aggressive behaviors that they normally would not display, or the behavior could be a result of how Big Mac was previously socialized and cared for. Big Mac will require someone who understands him, understands how to care for and train him to correct aggressive guarding behaviors, as well as someone who has strong experience with the breed.

Look at this incredibly sweet, soft face! This is Auburn (ID: A598158), a beautiful 4-year-old cream Pit Bull mix who urgently needs a rescue hero to step up and save her right now!

Auburn's time is up. She is listed as RESCUE ONLY at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter and currently has no exit plan. Her absolute final deadline is Today, October 4th at 2:00 PM PDT!

Auburn has had a rough time at the shelter. On September 27th, staff found her injured following a possible kennel fight. She suffered bite wounds and lacerations across her face and all four limbs. Shelter staff sedated, cleaned, and treated her wounds with antibiotics and pain medications. Because of her injuries and "Rescue Only" status, she cannot be adopted directly through the shelter counter without a rescue partner backing her.

PLEASE NOTE: If you live out of state or further away, you do NOT need to wait to act! Transport across the US and Canada can take 2-4 weeks to arrive, giving you plenty of time to set up and prepare your home for your new best friend! However, you MUST take action to Adopt, Foster, and/or Pledge immediately before 2:00 PM PDT so a rescue organization can pull her and secure her safety!

She is a resilient, loving girl who desperately needs a calm environment, proper healing time, and a second chance at life.
