He is exactly 1 year old now and weighs 47 kg (103 lbs). He’s not overweight at all — if anything, he’s lean and athletic.
Freya had to be put down while I was out of town.
The guilt is eating me alive.
We didn’t get much time together.
I rescued her and had “ruff-ly” 2 years with her.
She was my fourth Rottweiler, and my third rescue of the breed.
I love them, and will continue to rescue.
Hug your babies. They never give us enough time here. 🖤🤎
Marlo is turning 8 months very soon. He's massive and full of energy. He's an absolute land shark and still can't keep him from tearing things up. Loves to get into my fire wood and use it as a chew toy.
my Rottie is getting big enough that helping him in and out of the car is starting to feel like a full body workout. he can jump in fine most of the time, but jumping down from the back of the car makes me a little nervous, especially since he’s not exactly a lightweight dog. i’m not looking for medical advice or anything, just trying to make car rides easier and safer before it becomes a problem. been looking at dog ramps for cars/SUVs, but a lot of them seem like they’re either too narrow, too steep, wobbly, or not really made for a big stubborn dog who may or may not trust it at first. mostly looking for something sturdy, not slippery, wide enough for a Rottweiler, and not a huge pain to fold/store in the car. if you use one for your Rottie, what kind did you get? and did your dog actually learn to use it without acting like it was a death trap?
Hi everyone
I’d like to hear from Rottweiler owners who have sadly lost their dogs. I’m trying to better understand the common causes and age patterns in the breed.
Did your Rottweiler pass away from old age, or did they develop any serious illnesses such as cancer (especially Osteosarcom or other types)?
If you’re comfortable sharing, at what age did it happen, and what were the first signs you noticed?
Thank you in advance to anyone willing to share their experience — it would really help me understand the breed’s health risks better ❤️🐶
So we Adopted thed this lott princess a few weeks ago as a pitbull. We had her DNA test done and she came back 47% Rottweiler 24% Am Staff 22% Am pitbull. My jaw dropped .
