Why are rottweilers still on the list??
I lost my Piper at only 6 years old in January and, of course, was, and still am devastated. I've REALLY been wanting another rottie, but living in rental houses, I can't. I know this amazing dog will never be replaced/duplicated, but as you all know, rotties are such amazing, kind, loving, loyal dogs.
Seriously, how is it that they are still on the dangerous list when dogs under 40lbs like Chihuahuas aren't? I've seen some seriously vicious "safe" dogs.
EDIT: For a group that's supposed to love rottweilers so much, there's a lot of hate in here toward both the bed and other humans.
Obviously, rottweilers have a stronger bite than a 10 or 20 lb dog. However, instead of talking about how bad the dog is naturally going to be because "it's in their genetics", how about blaming the real culprits; The owners that don't know how to or just plainly don't take the time to properly train and teach them to be good, well mannered dogs.
Are you going to blame a human child that bullies or kills someone else because their genetics dictate everything around them or do you blame the parents for not raising them very well and their social surroundings for influencing their bad behavior?
