Hi pet owners of Denver! Just wanted to let the dedicated Reddit users who struggle with bills know that there is a sub called โrandom acts of pet foodโ that you can request $150 worth of donated pet food off of your curated Amazon wishlist every 6 months if you have over 500 karma comment points.
tโs a great way to keep your pets fed up to $150 dollars every 6 months.
Only caveat is that you are ineligible for your own pets if you volunteer (even for free) with animal rescue groups/shelters or donate any of your personal services to them directly.
Anyway, because I foster dogs (not paid), I am ineligible to participate for my own dogs welfare, but if you do not donate or volunteer with animal shelters or rescues you are eligible to post requests and I hope you do.
Please make a pet food only Amazon wishlist, all other requests will be denied immediately. Requests for treats of supplies is not allowed. Our Colorado Pet Pantry does so much, but can only provide so much.
The only requests Iโve seen denied are if you volunteer with animal rescues or shelters. Rescue heads also do not qualify for their own personal dogs.
Approved requests are generally funded within a couple days.
Itโs a great resource, so please use it. Not sure why fellow animal helpers canโt use it, but I at least want my fellow struggling Denverites to get help.

2-year old Harper is on Euthanasia list at BARC, Houston for Monday, 8/17/26. Harper was left behind inside a home after her previous owner was evicted. She can be adopted to US or Canada. Reach out if you can help

Harper was left behind inside a home after her previous owner was evicted.
๐ฉบ MEDICAL NOTES:
Harper tested LOW POSITIVE for heartworms.
She arrived with swollen front legs and puncture wounds on the inside of both forelimbs. She was prescribed Clavamox 250 mg twice daily, Rimadyl 25 mg twice daily and Gabapentin 200 mg twice daily for 14 days.
She has also been vaccinated, dewormed and given preventative.
Behavior Notes:
Harper's is very friendly and greets staff with a loose, relaxed body, soft eyes and a gently wagging tail.
She is easy to leash and walks nicely on a loose leash to and from the outside runs.

๐ Harper was left behind when her owner was evicted, only to arrive at the shelter with painful wounds. Through it all, she has remained a friendly, gentle girl who happily walks beside the people caring for her.
Harper deserves to know what it feels like to be chosen and never left behind again. Please foster, adopt, rescue or share Harper before it's too late.

Roscoe being the happiest boy
