The boys on our hike this past weekend.
6.5 miles. It was a beautiful day to be in nature.

It was a beautiful day. We got there at sunrise with some cars already parked in the main lot. By the time we got back around 11:30, cars lined the road between the lot we were in and the Tipsoo Lake lot.
It hurt but I did it 🥴😩😅
They took away the option to post to the community in the Runna app but said it would continue in Strava. I’m in the Runna community in the Strava app but it seems like there is no option to post your run there? Am I missing something?
I’ve had people in other subs concerned that 11 miles is too long of a hike for a pug. So I just want to say I have discussed his hiking with our vet who said it was ok as long as we gave him plenty of breaks, water, and watch his body language. We live west of the Cascades. Temps were in the low 50s and it was cloudy our entire hike. He loves being outside so much.
I truly do not know how his little legs do it. We gotta get him a pedometer.
My niece told me last week she is pregnant. I am very excited for her. This will be the first baby in our family since she was born because I am childfree and my sister only ever had her. That being said, I know the big focus will be on the baby. I’m wondering what I can get for my niece however. I live 2,000 miles away from them so I’m obviously limited with hands on help. When you were a new mom, what did you want for yourself that aren’t things like meal prep, help around the house, etc? TIA!
Sorry for all the pics. I’m kind of obsessed with him 🥴😄
Photos I’ve made on film since we moved here from Kansas five years ago. Processed and scanned by me in my home.
We did this hike last Saturday. Until we were on our way back down, we had this trail all to ourselves and even then it was only a couple of small groups. Perfect temps with a mix of cloud and sun. We saw so much fireweed and lots of bees. It started pouring as soon as we got back to our car. Beautiful day!
Waiting for the peanut butter cracker he knows is coming his way 😄
Anyone else do apple picking? What’s your favorite kind?
Beautiful day with temps in the mid 50s. We had a mix of clouds and sun. It started pouring just as we were making it back to our car 😄 10/10 hike.
Got me some Ollie snuggles before work this morning.
