⚠️ MEDICAL: Nugget has an injury to the paw pad of his right hind limb, which was sloughing off. Shelter staff treated the paw with chlorhexidine, removed excess skin, applied mupirocin, and bandaged it. His bandage will need to be changed every couple of days, with multiple bandage changes expected until the paw is completely healed.

8/11/2026: Melody weighed 25.0 lbs. Mom and litter of puppies have various degrees of hair loss on tails, ears and paws. Probable ringworm was noted and a private vet was recommended for further evaluation/treatment. Melody has hair loss on her elbows, tail and feet. Assessment includes dermatitis/contagious dermatitis. She was vaccinated with Rabies, DA2PP-V and Bordetella, dewormed, and given flea prevention. Heartworm test: Low Positive.

Terra is only 4 years old and came into an overcrowded county shelter as a stray—one of the hardest places for a dog to land. With 5–6 dogs packed into many kennels, very few volunteers, and almost no time outside, even gentle, loving dogs can become overwhelmed.
After an altercation in the stressful shelter environment, Terra was placed on a Thursday euthanasia deadline due to space. She also has a hematoma/ear infection that the shelter is treating.
She is loving. She is soft. She deserves a chance. And she is running out of time.

Urgent! All the dogs in this video have been CLEARED for euthanasia at the Downey Animal Care Center located in Southern California - starting TOMORROW! Each of these dogs are insanely sweet, friendly, & happy to be alive; some are very scared but they have no idea the fate that awaits them. Their only "crime" was being dumped at an overflowing, high k*ll shelter in SoCal. The only way that these dogs have any chance of making it out alive is by getting this video SEEN.

Update: thank you to everyone who offer to help! When I shared this info as it has been circulating on multiple rescue networks I was heartbroken thinking of this animals. Thankfully Best Friends fosters along with Fawns Family Rescue took the socialize cats to open kennel space at SUVAS. Feral and not well socialize cats remain that would be good barn cats. This shelter (South Utah Valley Animal Shelter) is at capacity on cats. They don’t have a single empty cat kennel. For those of you that aren’t aware of this, shelters LEGALLY have to have kennel space to take in strays. So what do you think happens when THERE IS NO SPACE? When people continue surrendering pets, no one is willing to adopt, animals are dumped and discarded…………. Sadly they are euthanized.
These animals are healthy. They have to make space at the shelter for new animals because they have none.. if you can help by becoming a temporary foster until the animal can be fixed and placed for adoption this helps!
Fostering is a 1 - 2 month commitment, a short time frame to give outside of ourself to save an innocent animals life, but it is sure death for them if they cannot be freed from the shelter within the next 2 days!! THIS IS URGENT.. please help💔😣

Today is the last day that our rescued dogs and cats have food.
Tomorrow, I honestly don't know what I will give them. The bowls that are usually filled with food may be empty, and that thought breaks my heart.
Every one of these animals was rescued from abandonment, hunger, abuse, or life on the streets. They have already endured so much, and I never want them to experience hunger again. Yet today, I find myself with nothing left for tomorrow.

7/27/2026: Relaxed body, wagging tail, easy to leash and walks well on a loose leash.
7/28/2026: Gina greets staff with a gently wagging tail. She allows leashing and walks calmly to and from the potty yard. Seen relaxing quietly on her cot or by the kennel door.
7/29/2026: Relaxed body, wagging tail, soft open smile. Easy to leash and walks on a loose leash. Keeps kennel clean throughout the night. Quiet during the day, resting on her bed.
7/30/2026: Quiet in kennel, kept kennel clean overnight. Walks to the front of the door with a relaxed body and swaying tail as staff approaches. Waits to be leashed before stepping out, walks nicely on a loose leash beside handler. Not interested in treats.
8/4/2026: Gina greets at the kennel door with a wagging tail and calm demeanor. She lets staff leash her and walks loosely to and from the potty yard. Inside her kennel she relaxes quietly near the front of the kennel.
🚑 Medical Notes:
8/5/2026: Weighed 49.8 lbs. Intake exam normal (5/9). Heartworm test Negative. Vaccinated, dewormed, and flea prevention given.
