Three stray dogs roaming the area. Tri color German Shepherd mix, reddish German Shepherd mix and one med sized red dog that is aggressive.

5/18/2026 Intake: Unable to work up due to behavior. K9 is tense body with whale eyes and tried to escape/pull away on leash. (alligator rolls + bites at leash)

📝 Shelter Notes:

5/18/2026: Dog presented tense body, whale/dilated eyes. I notice he still had a leash on him and once I place my leash around the dogs neck, he bolted out of the kennel. The dog then started thrashing on the leash, biting the leash, I tried to put him back in his kennel but he kept pulling back. It took me a few minutes to get behind him and to nudge him back in the kennel while he was still biting on the leash.

5/19/2026: Laying at the back of the kennel, while presenting whale eyes and tense body. while lip licking.

5/20/2026: Approaching kennel, dog is laying down with head tucked. ACT noted he does not like to walk on the leash so she has to carry him. I entered the kennel and sat down next to him and he sat up, not moving away from me. I pet his head and body as he stayed still. The other technician brought his vaccines for intake work up and I completed the work up in the kennel using a light muzzle and no restraint. Dog did not flinch or try to move away, just sat calmly next to me.

5/20/2026: gave hard stare when leashing. when walking on leash , he began thrashing and then stopped to attempt to chew the leash. Had to muzzle and carry to kennel

5/17/2026: thrashing doing intake…light restraint needed…if

5/19/2026: Timid in kennel and tried to avoid the leash when i first approach. Once leashed he walks out with low head, body close to the ground and tucked tail. With baby talk he scoots close to me and tries to tuck his head under my arms. He allows me to pet him but due to his timid behavior leash walk him. He just looks arounds and doesnt potty… he stays close to my legs. No issues placing him back into kennel because he walks in on his own and allows me to remove leash.

5/20/2026: Jerome was brought over in the am as a move adopt. Dog is very large and was placed into a small kennel so I placed him into a larger kennel. When I went to leash him he was very timid and coward away from me slamming into divider avoiding contact with me. I had to go slow and leash him and even then he still was avoiding me. Within a couple of minutes of placing into a new bigger kennel he painted in kennel and was going in circles and hitting the divider causing Gloria on opposite to stress out and not to lay on her bedding. I had to take him out and soak his kennel meanwhile having him in an empty kennel in the process. He also painted that kennel. Placing dog on beh.

5/10/2026: 05/10/26 11:04 pancaked down on her bed, tail fast wagging but didn't stand. I placed leash on and she began thrashing, pulling back. Kennel was clean so I left her to avoid stressing her out more.

5/12/2026: dog was in the kennel and as i leashed her she was very flinchy and as i got her outside she walked lose leash and as i brought her back she kept moving her head as i tried to remove the leash i was able to by quickly grabbing the leash.

5/16/2026: Ms. Bunny is timid in her kennel, tail tuck, big eyes. Will move back when going in her kennel.

5/17/2026: Approaching the kennel, Bunny was standing by the kennel gate with a crouched body, ears down, and low hanging tail. She did a good job of keeping her kennel clean overnight. As I opened the gate, she moved away slightly and crouched lower to the ground. I offered her some treats but ignored them. I went ahead and leash her and waited for her to walk out with me on her own. Bunny was walked on a loose leash with darting looks and would sometimes walk sideways to turn and look at me to and from the outside runs. She paid little attention to other dogs as she walked passed them and vice versa.

5/18/2026: Ms. Bunny was standing by the kennel door with big eyes, wrinkle forehead, ears down, and low hanging tail. As I opened the gate, she moved away slightly and crouched lower to the ground. I offered her some treats but ignored them. I went ahead and leash her and waited for her to walk out with me on her own. Bunny was walked on a loose leash with darting looks and would sometimes walk sideways to turn and look at me to and from the outside runs.

Snowflake was turned in as a stray on 12-26-25. She is young, energetic, and vocal. She has no medical conditions noted.

Please let us know if you can help Snowflake, she will be in danger on 1-3-26.

📝 Shelter Notes:

12/28 Approaching her kennel she was standing by the door quietly, tail down, tensed, trembling. Walks on a tight leash pulling

forward. While outside she just looked around very alert ears forward. Walking back in she was flinchy as i was checking her

ID band. Placed her into new kennel and took leash off no issue

12/29 While Nellie was in the outside run, she was consistently vocalizing and jumping on the run gate. Overly aroused even when

she was being walked, she was walked on a tight leash and would attempt to chase come birds when treats were on the

ground for her. When she was in her run, she would sometimes yelp and cry in the run for a short time.

During PM feeding, Nellie was still being overly aroused and jumping up on the gate. As I entered the run, she started to

jump on me and paw at my stomach. I gave her treats on her cot to redirect her.

12/30 During morning feeding, Nellie was bouncing around in her run and yelping. During morning walks, she was still being overly

aroused in her run and even painted in her run. While walking, Nellie was walked on a tight leash and pulling in different

directions and while in the run, she was jumping and pawing at the gate. On the way back, she was bouncing around me

and walked on a tight leash still. I offered treats but she continued after eating the treats. She even attempted to chase

some birds.

1/1 jumping on kennel door nonstop when trying to leash she is trying to jump with mouth open towards my face. when

leashing she began to pull forward on tight leash outside she begins to whine when i walk away. coming back to go leash

her she is jumpin nonstop i have to fully step in and try to leash while she is jumping upwards.

5/18 tense body, had to muzzle during working. Growling in vehicle, foster had to bring in

5/4/2026: Dog last night / this morning was scratching the kennel food trough. Blood was in the kennel and she was sticking her head though the trough.

5/5/2026: dog was sitting in her kennel and when i leashed him he walked lose leash outside and as i brought him back inside he walked lose leash to his kennel.

5/6/2026: Dog is at the front of the kennel loose body, wagging tail and vocalizing. Opening the kennel door he walks out on a loose leash, wagging tail and loose body. Walked to and from the runs no issues.

5/7/2026: Dog is at the front of the kennel wiggly body wagging tail and open mouth panting. On the leash he is jumpy, loose body wagging tail and erect ears.

5/8/2026: Walked out on a loose leash, wiggly body and wagging tail.

5/10/2026: dog walks lose leash and roams in the run but while its in the kennel dog begins to be very vocal as i walk other dogs or just walk by him.

5/11/2026: Stands at the front of the kennel as he presents loose body, wagging tail and soft close mouth. Walked on a loose leash as he followed the trail of treats. Vocal when passing by.

5/12/2026: Mr. Dog will be standing at the front of the kennel with a loose body, wagging tail and soft close mouth. Walked on a loose leash as he followed the trail of treats to the runs.

5/13/2026: Mr. Dog will be standing at the front of the kennel with a loose body, wagging tail and soft close mouth. Walked on a loose leash taking treats.

5/14/2026: vocal in the morning painted kennel when walking dog he is attached to my hip looking upwards, is vocal when i walk by kennel throughout day.

5/15/2026: this morning he didnt paint kennel and waited patiently to be leashed when walking he walks alongside me heeling when i stop . going to the kennel run he waits to be unleashed walking back he walks in between my legs taking steps when i step. went into kennel and remained quiet throughout cleaning.

5/16/2026: During both morning feedings and walks, Dog was overly aroused in his kennel; dilated eyes, heavy panting, jumping around the kennel, high pitch barking, forward body, and high wagging tail. He was walked on a semi-loose leash due to walking under and very close to me along with attempting to jump on me as well. He paid little attention to other dogs as he walked by them to and from the outside runs. Once back in his kennel, throughout the rest of the morning in his kennel he was non-stop vocalizing until morning walks were done and the aisle was quiet.

5/17/2026: dog was laying down and when i approached dog began to be very vocal as i walked by with other dogs and when i was going to leash him he had wiggly body and once leashed he walked semi tight to the run and was roaming around looking at the dogs from treatment and back in his kennel he walked lose leash and was quiet due to no one walking by that side.

5/18/2026: During both morning feedings and walks, Dog was vocalizing at anything that passed his kennel and painted his kennel as well. Throughout the morning he was jumping around in his kennel and knocking over his water bucket. He was walked on a loose leash with a wiggly body, ears up, open mouth smile, and fast wagging tail.

Snowflake was turned in as a stray on 12-26-25. She is young, energetic, and vocal. She has no medical conditions noted.

📝 Shelter Notes:

12/28 Approaching her kennel she was standing by the door quietly, tail down, tensed, trembling. Walks on a tight leash pulling

forward. While outside she just looked around very alert ears forward. Walking back in she was flinchy as i was checking her

ID band. Placed her into new kennel and took leash off no issue

12/29 While Nellie was in the outside run, she was consistently vocalizing and jumping on the run gate. Overly aroused even when

she was being walked, she was walked on a tight leash and would attempt to chase come birds when treats were on the

ground for her. When she was in her run, she would sometimes yelp and cry in the run for a short time.

During PM feeding, Nellie was still being overly aroused and jumping up on the gate. As I entered the run, she started to

jump on me and paw at my stomach. I gave her treats on her cot to redirect her.

12/30 During morning feeding, Nellie was bouncing around in her run and yelping. During morning walks, she was still being overly

aroused in her run and even painted in her run. While walking, Nellie was walked on a tight leash and pulling in different

directions and while in the run, she was jumping and pawing at the gate. On the way back, she was bouncing around me

and walked on a tight leash still. I offered treats but she continued after eating the treats. She even attempted to chase

some birds.

1/1 jumping on kennel door nonstop when trying to leash she is trying to jump with mouth open towards my face. when

leashing she began to pull forward on tight leash outside she begins to whine when i walk away. coming back to go leash

her she is jumpin nonstop i have to fully step in and try to leash while she is jumping upwards.

5/13/2026: Nugget was in the back of the kennel laying down, alert ears neutral body and face. Was able to leash and he got up and followed me out to the runs. Held a loose leash walking ahead of me, low swaying tail and erect ears.

5/15/2026: Nugget is at the front of the kennel ready to go outside, holds a loose leash, wagging tail and loose body. Walked to and from the runs no issues.

5/16/2026: Was moved to the North Building today. Nugget has been barking all morning, standing at the front of the kennel, heavily panting, with a low tail and dilated pupils. Covered kennel.

5/17/2026: When approaching this morning I could see that Nugget was heavy panting, with a tense/stiff body. She leashed well but walked on a semi-loose leash to the runs, occasionally trying to pull ahead but would redirect for treats. Coming back in she continued to walk on a semi-loose leash and since being back in her kennel she has been non-stop vocalizing.

5/17/2026 13:07: Alarm barking from behind sheet when citizens were walking through the row after opening.

5/18/2026: Nugget continues to be vocal in the morning and when people pass by. Extra enrichment was offered, and he quieted down for a bit but eventually started barking again. The kennel door remains covered.

04/27/26 10:45 circling in kennel with tail tucked when I approached, but with baby talk came up to me with wiggly body and fast wagging tail. Walked with semi-loose leash out to runs and back. On leash was going up to sniff other dogs in the kennels.

During both morning feedings and walks, Delta was consistently forward vocalizing in front of his kennel non-stop while also jumping on the gate as well. He did not stop until he was give an enrichment toy for the day. Delta was walked on a tight leash due to forward pulling and in mutiple directions on the leash, jumping on me, and circling me on the leash. He paid little attention to other dogs as he passed them by on his way outside.

5/16/2026: Approaching kennel to place new kennel card, she is non-stop high-pitched barking with extended mouth pant, and fast tail wag as AC is cleaning neighboring kennel as well as when we leave the front of her kennel. She paces from front to back as well as continues to be vocal and attempts to begin to scratch the guillotine. Tossed over treats but she remained doing the same thing.

5/5/2026: Eviction.

📝 Shelter Notes:

5/7/2026: When opening kennel she moved to back of kennel with legs tucked underneath her. Slowly placed leash on her and she began pulling back on leash. Showed no interest in treats or baby talk. Once fully walked in kennel she army crawled fast out of kennel into a new kennel.

5/8/2026: Upon opening kennel door she cowarded in the back of kennel. Slowly leashed and walked very slowly outside. Showed no interest in treats.

5/9/2026: Greeted at the front of kennel with a semi tense body and slow wagging tail. Walked on a loose leash outside.

5/11/2026: Gemini greeted volunteer at the front of the kennel with a worried expression, lip licking, and erect ears. She took a few steps out but then ran back into kennel. Volunteer lightly muzzled and carried her out, then tethered leash to wall.

5/12/2026: Ms. Gemini greeted volunteer at the front of the kennel presenting a worried expression when approached. Volunteer was able to leash her and she walked on a loose leash. When startled she would pull back some but used a lot of baby talk and treats.

5/14/2026: Timid in the morning. Went into the runs to potty. Vocal in kennel when people walked by in the morning.

5/15/2026: Had to move kennels due to her jumping her kennel and getting stuck on the wire part. Another ACT helped get her down.

5/16/2026: During morning walks Gemini was crouch walking on a loose leash to the outside runs. While in the run she jumped the fence between South D and runs and paced back and forth while watching other dogs. She walked back on a loose leash and was energetic outside as well. Once inside she became shy and timid, crouching back to her kennel. Throughout the morning she jumped around her kennel trying to jump out and pulling her sheet covering her kennel gate. Gemini ignored enrichment Kong given near kennel gate.

5/17/2026: During cleaning volunteer saw Gemini had knocked her water pail off the carabiner and flipped it toward the back of kennel and moved her bed overnight. Later when returned to kennel she began high pitch vocalizing and jumping midway up onto gate scraping the bars trying to escape.

5/17/2026: Dog in run jumped out of fence and was between the runs of South D and South C. Staff quickly approached and leashed her. Will make leash walk only.

🚑 Medical Notes:

5/5/2026: Intake weight 46.0 lbs. Vaccinated with DA2PP-V, Bordetella, and Rabies 1 year. Dewormed. HW test negative/NAD. Given Pyrantel, Advantage Multi, and TranQ2.

5/13/2026: Spay surgery performed. Microchip implanted. Given E-Collar MED and Carprofen.

5/13/2026: Weighed 42.8 lbs.

📝 Shelter Notes:

5/10/2026: Pushed out his kibble bin and was lounging in his kennel with his chin resting in the gap. Walked with loose leash out to runs and back.

5/12/2026: When walking by dog begins to be vocal and as i leashed him he walked loose leash and as i placed him in a run he roamed with wagging tail and as i got him he walked in his kennel and stood in front of the kennel.

5/13/2026: Approaching dog he was growling, high wagging tail. I leash him he walked out with a neutral body, followed me outside. When muzzling to pick him up he was growling, tensed body, whale eyes.

5/14/2026: Alexio presents a neutral body.

5/14/2026: Alexio presents a neutral body whenever i approached him. he kept his kennel clean overnight. As i walked him by other dogs, some dogs were growling at him over the cover, but he ignored them and just kept on walking.

5/16/2026: Alexio forward lunged, forward barked and snarled at his neighboring dog (Duke A2072544) as I walked him past Alexio's kennel. Alexio had his hair hackled and dilated eyes at this time. He has been vocal on and off throughout the day, especially when he's not getting attention but neighboring dogs are.

5/17/2026: When moving a move adopt inside and walked passed Alexio's kennel, he came barking into his kennel door slamming himself into it, growling, forward lunging, snarling, growling, stiffened high flagging tail and furrowed brows.

5/9/2026: Weighed 55.0 lbs. Intake condition normal. Vaccinated (DA2PP-V, Bordetella, Rabies), dewormed with 5.00 PYRANT, and given 1.00 ADVANTAGE MULTI DOG 20.1-55LB flea prevention.

5/10/2026: Weighed 55.0 lbs. Heartworm test low positive.

5/13/2026: Weighed 60.8 lbs. Neutered. E-collar placed. Given 1.00 CARPROFEN100 and 1.00 CARPROFEN25. Microchip: 941000032632545.
