🚑 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

8/11/2026: Melody weighed 25.0 lbs. Mom and litter of puppies have various degrees of hair loss on tails, ears and paws. Probable ringworm was noted and a private vet was recommended for further evaluation/treatment. Melody has hair loss on her elbows, tail and feet. Assessment includes dermatitis/contagious dermatitis. She was vaccinated with Rabies, DA2PP-V and Bordetella, dewormed, and given flea prevention. Heartworm test: Low Positive.

8/11/2026: The puppies have various degrees of hair loss involving the feet, tails and ears. Probable ringworm was noted and a private vet was recommended for further evaluation/treatment. Assessment includes dermatitis/contagious dermatitis. The puppies received DA2PP-V, Bordetella and dewormer.

- 7/30: Greeted at kennel door with low growl. Leashed calmly and walked well on loose leash. Protective of puppies in kennel.

- 8/3: Barked/jumped on kennel door when people passed. Walked well to dog run with neutral body.

BEHAVIOR 💕

Blizzard is a loving, gentle mom. Staff found her nursing. When approached she rolled over, offered her belly, and thumped her tail. Easy to leash, calm on leash, then went right back to her babies. Her sweet nature shines through even in this scary place.

All 3 arrived in normal condition and are up to date on age-appropriate care:

Behavior 🐾

These babies are just 15 weeks old and already so scared in the shelter.

The constant noise makes them bark and vocalize when people/dogs walk by.

Kenzie: Wiggly tail, curious, but sometimes backs away until she feels safe

Corbin & Dylan: Also bark out of fear/stress. They’re just puppies trying to cope 💔

They deserve a chance to grow up in a home, not lose their lives in a kennel.
