ID #A2083553

Weight: 56.4 lbs
Intake Date: 6/30/2026
Banjo came in with another dog, who is not currently on the euthanasia list (ID #A2083552, picture in comments).
Medical Notes:
Banjo is heartworm positive and has mild dermatitis affecting his ears, head, chest, shoulders, and legs. A skin scrape was negative for mites, and no secondary skin infection was found. He has been treated with Advantage Multi and pyrantel dewormer, and has received his DA2PP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. His skin condition is considered mild and manageable with continued care.
Behavior Notes:
Banjo is a gentle but frightened dog who appears shut down by the shelter environment. He will slowly approach when spoken to kindly and allowed time to build trust, but becomes fearful when asked to leave the kennel. He often prefers to remain curled up on his blanket and has needed gentle handling due to his fear.

No one had come for Arlo. He has just 20 hours left to live. Euth 7/5 11am Downey ACC,CA - pls message me, email Isabeldesiree8@gmail.com or text 657-424-7580 if you can foster (temp & free) or adopt Arlo. Out of state possible
His to family chose to surrender him after he didnโt get along with their small dog.Instead of trying to fix the problem, they rather got rid of him..
๐His final notice already expired.
His time has run out and he is scheduled to be euthanized tomorrow morning if no foster or adopter will be found ๐
Arlo A5779814 ย 1yr Male Shepsky 72 lbs.
Surrender notes:
Very attentive to things around, he loves watching birds, he loves stuffed animals and although heโs big, he loves to cuddle
He was friendly with larger dogs / a German shepherd in particular, but didnโt do well with smaller dogs
Playful with children, good in the car, pulls on leash and barks at other dogs on walks,
Knows commands: sit, paw, wait, take it
His favorite toys are stuffies and his favorite activities: tug of war and playing with stuffies
On 5/27/26 A5779814 climbed out of its enclosure and had an incident with the 3 year old Dachshund causing a little wound to the right shoulder.
The behaviors described today reflect the dogโs responses in a shelter environment. It may differ significantly from how they behave in a home.
Arlo (Intact) was at the front of the kennel with a calm demeanor when the runner arrived. He allowed himself to
be leashed with ease and then exited the kennel on his own. However, Arlo was barking toward his neighboring kennels,
with a tense posture along the way. Arlo was then allowed into the yard, where he stood with a stiff posture as he was greeted by some of the dogs. Arlo then
lunged toward one of the dogs but stopped when the handler intervened with a correction tool.
He was unable to coexist peacefully in the yard and was then returned to his kennel; however, firm leash guidance was needed as he refused to enter on his own.
Can you foster or responsibly adopt him?

Adorable 7-year old boy Miller is on euthanasia list at BARC, Houston, TX 1 PM 7/2/26. Sweet, loves humans, easy to walk, simply the perfect, more mature boy past rambunctious puppy phase. All he needs is a good home. Please help
๐๐ MILLER IS LOSING HIS LIFE FOR BEING STRESSED IN A SHELTER ๐๐
Miller (#A2081273) is a 7-year-old Staffy mix who was surrendered by his owner and now finds himself on BARCโs euthanasia list.
The shelter environment has become overwhelming for him, but underneath the barking and kennel stress is a sweet, affectionate boy who just wants to be with people.
๐ถ MILLER #A2081273
๐ Staffordshire Mix
๐ Male
๐ 7 Years Old
๐ 63 lbs
๐ Heartworm Negative
Staff consistently describe Miller as:
โจ Wiggly and friendly
โจ Easy to leash
โจ Walks well on leash
โจ Loves human interaction
โจ Relaxed outside of his kennel
โจ Sweet and affectionate
One of the most telling notes described Miller greeting staff with โtappy pawsโ and a wiggly body when they approached. โค๏ธ
Another noted that after returning to his kennel, he calmly laid down and relaxed.
Millerโs biggest struggle is the shelter itself. Like so many dogs, the constant noise, activity, and confinement have led to vocalizing and over-arousal when people pass by. But staff repeatedly observed that once outside his kennel, he is calm, responsive, and easy to handle.
๐ Miller has already lost his home.
Now heโs about to lose his life.
โฐ DEADLINE: THURSDAY, 7/2 AT 1 PM CT
โ ๏ธ BARC has stated there will be NO extensions.

Miller doesnโt need perfection.
He doesnโt need a huge house.

6/22/26 Stray | Siberian Husky Mix | Female | 11 Months Old | Spayed | 44.6 lbs | HW Negative
๐ Volunteer Notes:
We were not able to meet Sierra #A2082496. If you're interested in helping us meet the animals, please message us!
๐ Shelter Notes:
6/22/26 (Intake): Sierra was reported as a medium-sized brown dog who had appeared the previous night and would not leave the property, remaining in front of the finder's door.
6/23/26: Sierra was very vocal both in her kennel and in the outdoor runs. She displayed a fast wagging tail, dilated pupils, and hyperactive behavior.
6/29/26: Sierra was selected as a move-adopt candidate and willingly approached staff. She greeted staff at her kennel door with a wagging tail, was easy to leash, and walked loosely back to her new kennel.
6/30/26: Sierra had been a move-adopt candidate the previous day. After morning cleaning, she vocalized throughout the day and urinated in her kennel multiple times. On leash, she zigzagged and jumped on staff while they attempted to walk her. She ignored treats offered to redirect her behavior. She behaved similarly on the return walk and resumed vocalizing once back in her kennel. She was placed on an adoption evaluation for monitoring.
7/1/26: Sierra was vocal in the morning. When it was time for her walk, she was jumpy and zigzagged on the leash. Staff had to repeatedly toss treats to prevent her from jumping on them. After returning to her kennel, she remained very vocal throughout the day.
๐ Medical Notes:
โข 11-month-old spayed female weighing 44.6 pounds
โข Heartworm negative
โข Green line spay tattoo present
โข No medical concerns documented
๐ Sierra is a young, energetic husky mix who appears to be struggling with the stress and overstimulation of the shelter environment. Staff describe her as social and willing to engage, but also highly vocal, excitable, and difficult to redirect once aroused. Her willingness to approach handlers and walk loosely in calmer moments suggests she may thrive in a structured home environment where she can decompress, receive consistent guidance, and channel her energy appropriately.

๐ Shelter Notes:
6/30/26: During placement on the euthanasia list, Alex was observed pancaked against the back kennel wall with a tense body, pinned ears, and whale eyes. Staff were able to place a leash over his head and attempted to comfort him with baby talk and treats, but he remained shut down. He was lightly muzzled and carried to the runs. Outside, he displayed a somewhat more relaxed posture and sniffed neighboring dogs, but largely kept to himself. Staff had to carry him back to his kennel, where he again pancaked himself against the back wall.
7/2/26: Alex tucked his head into the corner of his kennel and pulled his legs underneath himself when staff opened the kennel door. Staff slowly knelt down and offered treats, but he showed no interest. When a leash was placed on him, his body became even more tense. He was lightly muzzled and carried to a new kennel.
๐ Medical Notes:
โข 2-year-old intact male weighing 32 pounds
โข Heartworm negative

โข No other medical concerns documented
๐ Alex showed some curiosity toward other dogs when outside of his kennel, suggesting there may be a social and affectionate dog beneath his fear. He urgently needs a quiet, patient environment where he can decompress, feel safe, and begin to build trust.

This sweet handsome boy needs help - Bay Area CA
Hello all- if youโre in or near Northern California and are looking for a great dog, Gunther is your guy. Heโs smart and loyal, and truly loves his people.
Unfortunately his owner passed away and now his family is losing their home at the end of this month.
So Gunther needs our help.
He is fixed and just turned 6, so he is a pretty mellow guy. He prefers the company of female dogs over males however- heโs really just not a fan of male dogs. He is well-trained and obedient.
Iโm posting this for a friend- sheโs already going through so much with the loss of her loved one and now having to move. Sheโs devastated that she canโt bring Gunther along with her, and sheโs trying her best to find him a good home.
She has called around to several shelters and rescue groups with no success. Open to suggestions for contacts- any advice really is appreciated. Thank you
