! URGENT EUTH LISTED - HOPPER'S dealine passed on 8/14 !! Tustin CA, 2 year old male needs a savior NOW!

His life is at risk. Hopper needs a rescue plan NOW or he may be euthanized by OC Animal Care.

Hopper is only 2 years old. He was found wandering the streets of Santa Ana. The person who found him had no issues capturing him and even spent a week walking him around the neighborhood, trying to find someone who knew him.

Then he arrived at the shelter.

Hopper was nervous during intake. When staff approached him with a leash, he growled and showed his teeth. Since then, shelter staff report that he comes to the kennel door, hard stares, shows whale eye, becomes stiff, and growls.

But there is an important detail in his notes:

"When you reach for him he does not try to bite, he is just stiff and growling."

We don't know what Hopper experienced before he was found. We don't know why a 2-year-old dog was wandering the streets wearing a choke chain and rope leash. We only know that someone was able to safely capture him and walk him around the neighborhood - and now, inside a frightening shelter environment, he is defensive and afraid.

And that fear may cost him his life.

Hopper currently has no owner coming for him and no safe home waiting for him. He needs an experienced person willing to stand up for him when he needs it most.

HOPPER NEEDS RESCUE BY 8/14/26.

Please SHARE, PLEDGE, and help find a rescue/foster who can safely take him.

My Chocolate Labrador Lashley was Abandoned without my knowledge. I'm Still Looking for Him.

This post is a part of my final attempt to find my chocolate labrador lashley who was abandoned 5 years ago by my father. I will first post a short introduction before explaining lashley's story in detail.

About Lashley:

Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Nicknames: Boochie, Dachaley, Laboli

Distinctive white patch on his chest also known as bolo marks

Age when he was abandoned - 3 1/2 years old

Current age - 8 to 9 years old

Last known area: Domlur, Bengaluru (near Jogupalya, Indiranagar & Ulsoor)

If anyone living in Bangalore recognizes him, knows someone who might have adopted him, or have any information at allโ€”even if it seems insignificantโ€”please leave a comment or contact me through WhatsApp/call +91 8660826795

Detailed explanation of what actually happened & why he was abandoned

Back in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my family was going through a very difficult time financially and personally. Also during this time my father was suffering from severe chronic depression and other mental issues. After some time we had just moved to a new house, so my dad left Lashley to stay at my grandmother's house and claimed he would bring him to our new house. My father told me he would bring him to our new home once everything settled down. But few months passed by and this did not happen. During that time I used to visit him during the weekends. Some of the pics & videos i have posted here are during that time

So one day without my knowledge, according to my grandmother's account he claimed to take lashley for a walk and when he had returned lashley wasn't there with him. When he was asked about it he told her he had sold it or given it to someone but did not mention the specifics like to whom. When he came home he did not tell us about this. A few days later, my father took his own life at my grandmother's house. It was only then that we found out. During that time, our family was consumed by the shock, grief , funeral, legal matters, and everything that followed after my father's death so our thoughts were consumed by this and finding lashley wasnt at the forefront of our minds I also did not want to disturb my mother and other family members by bringing this up.

After some time we decided to search for lashley but had no idea where he went or with whom he was. We visited some well known breeders and rescue organisations but couldn't find him. Also found out that my father had also given away lashley's vaccination certificates & other things like prescriptions from the vets. So i had lost hope and finally decided that it was almost impossible to ever see him again. I loved him so much and wanted to be with him till his final years this was what made it so bad. I couldn't even see him to wish him a final goodbye before he left me. He was an extremely expressive and affectionate lab who always loved to be around me. I can't imagine how panicked and lost he must have felt after he was given away. He loved me like no other dog ever did. So I just suppressed those memories and went on with my life. But it just didn't work. For the past few months I have been feeling intense regret that I didn't do enough to find him, that I had in a way betrayed him. I kept dreaming about him regularly - both positive and disturbing dreams. So i finally decided I need to make a final and serious attempt to find him before he leaves this world. I want to be with him through his final years.

My search efforts will be both offline and online - I will visit every rescue organisation, veterinary clinics , breeders, pet boarding schools and kennels in my city. I will also be creating pages on every social media platform where I will be documenting and updating my search efforts. Even if the search fails i atleast get to preserve lashley's memories and get to tell his story to many. Hope this post wasn't too long. Thank you for reading

Bashful is a friendly, wiggly, sweet & affectionate 1-year-old Staffy Mix. He's a volunteer favorite! Available to foster/adopt at BARC in Houston, TX. Transport possible for out-of-state adoption. Please message me if interested. Euth deadline 8/20

๐Ÿ†˜ Friendly, wiggly 1 year old Staffordshire Mix boy Bashful on the euthanasia list Thursday, 8/20 ๐Ÿ†˜

โฐ Bashful must have a HOLD no later than 1PM or he will lose his life. ๐Ÿฅบ We need pledges and a local foster or adopter for a rescue to help. ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿก

๐Ÿšฉ Please do not honor pledges until the post has been updated with rescue information and a freedom picture. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.

๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿถ Bashful #A2087893

7/25/2026 Stray | Staffordshire Mix | Male | 1Y 1M | 46.6 lbs | HW Negative

๐Ÿ’œ Volunteer Notes:

Iโ€™m SO excited to share with everyone this adorable and sweet little boy, Bashful. I love his name, but this handsome guy isnโ€™t bashful at all. Although when I first approached his kennel he stared at me like โ€œare you here for me? Really?โ€ The second he realized I was, he got so excited and started to wag his tail. When I went in his kennel he was very well behaved and just sat patiently for me. He walked beautifully on leash and didnโ€™t react toward any of the dogs in the kennels. He also did amazing meeting another pup - all tails wags, a few kisses, overall just a happy, playful boy. When I knelt down next to him, he gently jumped into my arms and gave me a ton of kisses. I was able to pick him up easily and he continued to give me kisses. Bashful is the sweetest boy and itโ€™s clear all he wants it to be someoneโ€™s baby. I hope someone steps up for him

Volunteer Notes 2:

I would like to give a gold star to the staff member that named Bashful. Itโ€™s so perfectly endearing and a bit ironic as he isnโ€™t bashful at all! I walked up to his kennel and he was curled up, not expecting me to say hi. He didnโ€™t get up from his bed until I knelt down to his level, then he got up slowly and did a big stretch before wagging his tail vigorously. He said hi to other dogs while we walked out and walked very well. Heโ€™s an absolutely wonderful listener - better than any man in your life, guaranteed. He learned sit soooo quickly as he was a bit jumpy when first out of his kennel. He loves to fetch and actually brought it back quite a few times! Please please please watch his videos. Something about him is very endearing and I know heโ€™ll be someoneโ€™s best friend.

๐Ÿพ Behavior Notes:

Bashful has repeatedly greeted people with a wiggly body, soft eyes and a fast-wagging tail. He is described as friendly and welcoming to people and has even tried to play with other dogs through the fence.

He generally walks nicely on a loose leash and has been gentle with his handlers. One especially sweet note describes Bashful leaning his entire body against a staff member, completely relaxed and wagging his tail, while they cleaned around his eyes.

He has occasionally shown periods of fear, pancaking to the ground, pacing, whining and hesitating to return to his kennel. But once he feels comfortable, the happy, wiggly young dog comes right back out.

๐Ÿ™ This sweet young boy has been waiting at BARC since July 25. Foster, adopt, rescue or share Bashful. One person saying YES could change everything for him.

๐Ÿ”น Intake:

7/25/2026: 2 pitbull aggressive dog. Standby officer.

๐Ÿ“ Shelter Notes:

7/29/2026: Bashful was placed in outdoor run as a move adopt in the morning. As I approached he presented a timid body, lowered head, half tucked in tail and darting eyes. Walked on a loose leash heading into south but as we approached his kennel he began to pull back. Had to stand behind him to get him to walk into kennel.

7/30/2026: High pitch whining and vocalizing in kennel, pacing, jumping on kennel door, panting and dilated eyes. Walked on a tight forward leash while occasionally picking from trail of treats.

7/31/2026: Bashful presented a wiggly body, fast wagging tail and would pancake onto the floor when I approached. Once leashed he walked on a loose leash while occasionally pancaking on the floor for a couple of seconds before continuing to walk.

8/1/2026: Approaching the kennel, Bashful was standing in front of the kennel with a wiggling body, soft eyes, ears up, and fast wagging tail. He did a good job of keeping his kennel clean overnight. Bashful was walked on a loose leash and energetic towards me to and from the outside runs. He was curious about some dogs presenting with a fast wagging tail and wiggling body towards them and tried playing with them through the gate. While walking with a volunteer, he was very friendly and welcoming towards anyone that came up to him.

8/6/2026: Fast wagging tail, whole body moving. Walked with semi-loose leash slightly ahead of me out to runs and back for AM and PM walks. When cleaning his eye boogers he stood on his hind legs and leaned back against me enjoying it with wagging tail and completely limp as I propped him up.

8/8/2026: Approaching the kennel, Bashful was laying down on their cot and then greeted me at the gate with a wiggling body, soft eyes, ears up, and fast wagging tail. ๐Ÿ’œ Volunteer Notes

๐Ÿพ Behavior Notes:

Yuca is extremely timid, often cowering in the back of her kennel with her head lowered. On leash she has trembled, frozen, pulled back or thrashed when overwhelmed. At times she has become so frightened during handling that staff needed to stop. But she has also shown that, when she can manage her fear, she is capable of slowly walking on leash with her head low and tail tucked and allowing the leash to be removed.

Their notes paint a picture of two very young, undersocialized puppies who are frightened and overwhelmed by the shelter environment and desperately need experienced rescue placement where they can decompress safely.

๐Ÿ™ PLEASE HELP SAVE YUCA & BING โ€” AND THEIR SIBLINGS ROOSTER AND FRANKIE. These babies are only 6 months old, and all four siblings have now landed on the euthanasia list together.

Please share, pledge, foster through a rescue, or tag rescues who can help.

๐Ÿ“ Shelter Notes:

8/15/2026: Timid in kennel. Cowering in the back with lowered head. I entered the kennel and she avoided eye contact. Once leashed she was hesitant to walk but moved a little as I walked behind her. She was still very timid on leash, trembling and pausing frequently. I placed her in a new kennel and removed the leash.

8/16/2026: Thrashing on leash. When trying to carry dog is flinching and trying to bite. Tried to muzzle and carry but dog started to defecate. Left in place due to behavior.

8/16/2026: In the PM dog was still timid but I was able to leash her and she slowly walked out with low head and tucked tail. She walked straight into her next kennel and I was able to remove leash.

8/17/2026: Timid in kennel, cowering in the back. I opened the kennel and I entered to leash her. Once leashed, she slightly thrashed and pulled back on the leash. I was able to muzzle her and pick her up. I carried her to a new kennel and placed her inside.

Urgent appeal for adoption

Hi everyone! This baby is approx 4 months now and her vaccinations are done, she is been regularly dewormed.

So the story with her is that one of my friends wanted a cat and then adopted her but then he had some issue with his family due to which he could not keep her. Since she was very small at the time and I felt bad I offered to keep her with me till his issues at home got sorted. Three months in he completely ghosted and stopped receiving my calls and texts now.I had kept her because he kept visiting and promised that he would sort it out. I also got her vaccinated. Now I have to leave bangalore for my job and I have no idea what to do. I want to find her a nice caring home. Please help me with that.I would appreciate everybodyโ€™s suggestions as well as I have to leave soon.

Jenna is definitely a cutie pie. She has unique coloring throughout her coat. Sheโ€™s calm and sweet. When I went to her kennel she was so ready to have some company. I got her out to the run and sheโ€™s very loving and affectionate. She loves belly rubs. When I had her out in the run I was petting her, and she actually turned around onto her back and basically asked for belly rubs. Sheโ€™s definitely a good girl and always happy. I think sheโ€™s unique looking, and hopefully she can get out of the shelter tomorrow

๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿถ Izzy #A2088329

7/28 Euth Request (Owner Surrender) | German Shepherd Mix | Spayed Female | 3 Years | 53.6 lbs | Heartworm High Positive

๐Ÿ’œ Volunteer Notes:

We were not able to meet Izzy #A2088329. If you're interested in helping us meet the animals, please message us!

๐Ÿพ Behavior Notes:

Izzy has repeatedly shown shelter staff a calm, soft and affectionate side. She often greets handlers with a relaxed body, wiggly tail and soft eyes, is easy to leash, and frequently walks beautifully on a loose leash. Staff have described her as quiet and calm in her kennel, and she has kept her kennel clean overnight.

Izzy has sometimes become frightened and frozen or โ€œpancaked,โ€ needing reassurance or even to be carried to the run.

Away from that kennel stress, Izzy has repeatedly been relaxed, easy to handle and cooperative.

๐Ÿ™ This sweet beautiful girl has been waiting since July 28, and the stress of shelter life is taking its toll. Please foster, adopt, rescue, share or pledge for Izzy and help get her safe.

๐Ÿ“ Shelter Notes:

8/17/26: Izzy began lunging and forward barking at dogs as they passed by her kennel.

8/16/26: Izzy stood at the front of her kennel with a relaxed body and softly wagging tail. She was leashed easily and walked out readily. She walked well on a loose leash in the run, but became vocal when other dogs passed her kennel after returning, so her kennel was covered.

8/14/26: Izzy stood near her kennel door and exited easily once leashed. She walked on a loose leash, looked outside, and was placed in a run.

8/13/26: Izzy was lying calmly in her kennel and walked loosely on leash once outside. She repeatedly stopped and wanted to pancake, but continued walking with encouragement and returned to her kennel on her bed.

8/12/26: Izzy waited calmly at the front of her kennel with a wiggly tail and soft eyes. She was easy to leash and walked on a loose leash to the runs with an open-mouth smile. She returned without issue.

8/11/26: Izzy was quiet in her kennel and walked on a loose leash to the row, but became tense and froze once outside. Staff had to carry her into a run. She remained mostly stationary while outside but walked back inside without issue.

8/4/26: Izzy greeted staff loosely at her kennel door with a soft open mouth and high wagging tail. She was easy to leash, walked loosely outside and back, and remained very relaxed and quiet in her kennel.

๐Ÿ’– Izzy is a sweet girl who has shown a relaxed, affectionate side with her handlers. She is often easy to leash, walks nicely on a loose leash, and greets people with soft eyes and a wagging tail. At times she becomes overwhelmed outside and has recently shown reactivity toward dogs passing her kennel, but the stressful shelter environment can be incredibly difficult. She needs a patient, understanding home where she can decompress, feel secure, and show who she is away from the constant stimulation of the shelter.

๐Ÿฉบ Medical Notes:

- Heartworm positive.

- Spayed.

- Recently treated with doxycycline for coughing and nasal discharge/upper respiratory infection.

Summary:

Izzy is heartworm positive. On 8/8, she developed hacking and nasal discharge and was diagnosed with suspected CIRD/URI. She was moved to treatment and started on Doxycycline 250 mg once daily for 10 days.

Izzy was spayed on 8/5 and was noted to be in heat at the time of surgery. She has received her core vaccines, rabies vaccine, deworming and Advantage Multi.

Sugar Rush & Sweet Tooth are losing their foster home. Crown Heights

Rescue is full of cats people love but overlook in reality. In rescue, waiting can become its own kind of heartbreak. Sugar Rush and Sweet Tooth have built their entire world around each other. Bonded cats donโ€™t just share a home. They share emotional safety. But sadly, as they get older, adoption interest drops drastically. Add a โ€œbondedโ€ pair to the equation, and the chances become even slimmer. The longer cats wait in rescue, the more invisible they become. These siblings have been patiently waiting for seven months with no adoption interest. The worst part is that they're losing their foster through no fault of their own. I have only one week left to find to secure placement, and I'm totally freaking out. Please help me find a family that sees their worth. You can reach me @pawsofhopenyc on Instagram or via email ๐Ÿ’Œ pawsofhopenyc@gmail.com

8/10 Euth Request | German Shepherd Mix | Male | 11 Months | 46.7 lbs | Heartworm Negative

๐Ÿ’™ Volunteer Notes:

We were not able to meet Tiger, but if you want to help meet the animals, please reach out to us!

๐Ÿพ Behavior Notes:

Tiger is showing fear and stress in the shelter, with a tense or crouched body, tucked tail, whale eyes, raised hackles, barking and occasional low growling.

But there are also encouraging moments. Tiger has responded to gentle baby talk, followed handlers once leashed and repeatedly walked on a loose leash. At times, he has pressed his body against a handlerโ€™s leg while walking, seemingly seeking security. He has also returned to his kennel and allowed his leash to be removed without issue.

๐Ÿ™ Tiger is only 11 months old. Please donโ€™t let Tigerโ€™s fear become a death sentence before heโ€™s even had his first birthday. Share Tiger with experienced rescues who can give this frightened puppy the safe, structured environment he desperately needs.

๐Ÿ”ท Intake:

Tiger was brought to BARC as a euthanasia request on 8/10/26

๐Ÿ“ Shelter Notes:

8/10/26:

Hackles raised. Responded to baby talk and timidly walked loosely to the kennel after workup.

8/11/26:

Tense body, pushed himself into the corner with hackles raised and forward barking. Staff used baby talk and were able to slowly approach and leash him. Once outside, he walked on a loose leash at the staff member's side with his body pressed against their leg. In the run, he attempted to climb the fence. He walked back into his kennel without issue.

8/12/26:

Displayed a tense body, low growling and whale eyes when staff passed his kennel. Offered treats and he stopped, but continued to present a tense body.

8/13/26:

Presented with a tense body, stiff erect tail, low growling and hard stare. When staff attempted to leash him, he tried to push past them and out of the kennel. Once leashed, he walked on a forward leash while ignoring treats.

8/15/26:

Forward barking with a tense body and tucked tail when approached. Avoided the leash by stepping back and spinning in circles. Once leashed, he walked out with a crouched body and tucked tail. Followed staff into the runs, where he was slowly unleashed. When it was time to return, he continued moving away but ran back into his kennel once leashed.

8/17/26:

Forward barking from the back of the kennel with whale eyes, tucked tail and hackles raised. Avoided the leash but followed staff into the runs once leashed, walking with his side pressed against their leg. When staff attempted to bring him back inside, he avoided the leash and slipped past them into another open run. He began low growling with hackles raised when approached, then ran to the run gate where he was slowly leashed. He walked back into the run on a loose leash and staff were able to slowly remove the leash.

๐Ÿ’œ Volunteer Notes:

Lisa is happy and hoppy and all the things Iโ€™d expect of a healthy, young dog! She was v ready to get outside and burn off some energy in the run, and she happily met both a male and female pup. She enjoyed fetching a tennis ball and was selectively treat motivated (she has taste okay ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ). After a few minutes of sniffing around the run, she would come over and lean in for pets and affection. She seems to know how to sit for treats and how to fetch. Lisa is only on the list for length of stay, meaning sheโ€™s been so well behaved during her stay at BARC. She has so much more life to live and deserves to find a family that recognizes and cherishes that!

๐Ÿพ Behavior Notes:

Lisa is only 13 months old. Although she was initially reported to be barking and charging people on the property where she was found, her shelter behavior has been much softer.

Lisa can be timid but accepts pets and treats. She has greeted staff with soft eyes, an open-mouth smile and a low wagging tail. She walks fairly well on leash, keeps her kennel clean and relaxes quietly on her cot.

๐Ÿ™ At only 13 months old, Lisa has her whole life ahead of her. She has shown that beneath her uncertainty is a sweet young dog who accepts affection and wants to feel safe. Please foster, adopt, rescue or share Lisa before itโ€™s too late.
