5/17/2026: at front of kennel. relaxed body, neutral eyes and ears easy to leash walked on a loose leash to runs. once back into kennel dog began to forward bark at dogs that were passing by kennel and vocalizing throughout the day

towards end of day dog is pacing, heavily panting, jumping up on kenel door vocalizing

5/18/2026: Aroused in runs. Jumping and heavy panting. I opened the kennel leashing her and she walked loosely as I took her outside and placed her in a run. She is slightly more relaxed but continues to pace back and forth.

5/19/2026: Lusi was a Move Adopt this morning and was walked on a loose leash to her new kennel in South B with no issues. She was relaxed and calm and paid little attention to other dogs as they passed by her during morning walks. Lusi has also done a good job of keeping her kennel clean throughout the morning. During morning walks, she was aroused in her kennel; panting, dilated eyes, and jumping around in kennel. When morning walks were done, she was more calm and laid down on her cot for the remainder of the morning.

5/20/2026: is vocalizing all throughout morning cleaning, painted kennel. when tethered to wall she is calm but soon as she is back in kennel she begins to vocalize.

This tiny guy is currently being kept warm in an incubator, receiving round-the-clock slurry feedings from a syringe to help him grow big and strong. He is looking for a caring rescue or a dedicated foster hero who can provide the specialized TLC and attention he needs until he is old enough and healthy enough to find an adopter.

4/28/2026: a pack of 3-4 dogs roaming the neighborhood. 2 black w/ white chest dog and 1 black dog. The dogs will bark at all hours, chase cats and defecating in the area.

5/2/2026: move adopt very sweet, laying on her back wanting belly rubs. in kennel she is quiet waiting for someone to walk by.

5/4/2026: Ms. Fanny will be on her bed when I walked up. I walked in using baby talk, she rolled on her side getting belly rubs. I leash her used baby talk to have her walk out, she started to walk but then would pull back. Once we got the the door she did not walk at all.

Once you get to the door she will not walk and scrunch down. Me and with the help of another act got her to walk out the door with a lot of bay talk, she didn't care for the treats. She will start to walk once in the hallway.

5/7/2026: this morning she kept her kennel clean overnight and when walking she went through the door with no hesitation in the runs she will whine when i am walking with other dogs, walks back excitedly to kennel

5/8/2026: Approaching kennel, Fanny greeted me with a wiggly body, wagging tail, softly whined, licked her lips, eyes dilated and ears back. She was hesitant to walk outside, low posture, sometimes crawling, slow, sometimes stopping and sitting. When walking back inside, he walked loosely, slowing when he felt the leash slightly tighten and looking up at me with open mouth, wagging tail and squinty eyes.

5/9/2026: Ms. Fanny greeted me with a wiggly body, wagging tail, softly face. She was hesitant to walk outside, low posture, sometimes crawling, slow, sometimes stopping. Alot of baby talk and patients when walking her.

5/9/2026: dog greeted me with a wagging tail and as i leashed her she walked loose leash to the runs and back to her kennel and when in her kennel she is quiet and lays on her bed.

5/11/2026: Removed from adopt eval due to no behavior. Fanny was quietly laying on her bed and presented loose body, low wagging tail and neutral ears.

5/13/2026: Ms. Fanny went to HSN.

5/14/2026: kept her kennel clean overnight when walking to her kennel she greeted me excitedly sitting with waggy tail waiting to go outside. when walking she is walking alongside me wanting attention and treats. in the side run she is walking around and goes to potty when walking back she is ready and will walk into kennel on the bed and sit to be unleashed.

5/17/2026: Same behavior as yesterday wiggly body loves to play in the runs and getting attention.

5/19/2026: Fanny is a love bug! She greeted me with a very wiggly body and fast wagging tail. She leashed well and walked on a loose leash with a wiggly body the whole time. She loves pets and treats.

5/16/2026: Approaching kennel to place new kennel card, she is non-stop high-pitched barking with extended mouth pant, and fast tail wag as AC is cleaning neighboring kennel as well as when we leave the front of her kennel. She paces from front to back as well as continues to be vocal and attempts to begin to scratch the guillotine. Tossed over treats but she remained doing the same thing.

5/17/2026: dog was in the kennel and as i leashed her she walked loose leash to the run and back to her kennel she did walked semi tight back once in her kennel she lay down. once i covered his kennel he began to be high pitch vocal.

5/18/2026: When I was close to her kennel, Petunia started to high pitch vocalize in front of her kennel gate non-stop until morning walks were done. She was walked on a tight leash due to pulling on the leash and paid little attention to other dogs as she passed them by. Later in the morning, I gave her extra enrichment to occupy her time for the rest of the morning.

5/12/2026: dog not moving, hit by car at the curb. Dog is still alive. 1 brown dog.

5/15/2026: very vocal in kennel after coming back inside

5/16/2026: Moved adopt today: He is very sweet. He has a wiggly body anytime I greet him or walk past. He leashed well and walked on a semi loose leash for an adopter. He plays with his enrichment and has been quite since moving over to South.

5/17/2026: Bruce painted in kennel after feeding. Very wiggly and jumpy on kennel door and walls. I was able to leash and use my treats to redirect. Walked wiggly to the runs and remained wiggly while outside.

5/18/2026: Bruce painted in kennel after feeding even though I spot cleaned kennel offer. As I approached he was nonstop jumping up and panting heavily. I tried to use treats to distract him in order to leash him up but did not work. Leashed him up and he walked out but began jumping up at me several times. I tossed down treats to distract. He followed the treats then, once in the run he was high pitched barking, crying and whining along with nonstop jumping up. As I tried to leash he tried to dart out. Once leashed I walked back to kennel using treats to prevent. Once placed in kennel he began behaving the same way.

5/19/2026: Bruce painted in his kennel overnight, pacing back and forth at front of kennel as I came to leash him up. He began jumping up on kennel door as I attempted to leash him up. I tried tossing treats to distract him but this time did not distract his attention. I quickly leashed and he came out of kennel jumping on me. I was able to redirect with my treats. Once we got outside to the runs he walked wiggly following the treat trail. As I tried to walk him into the run as I tried to unleash he tried to bolt out of kennel. I was able to stop him with the leash still on but still tried bolting out multiple times. As I walked away he began jumping up crying in high pitch as I walked away. Once I walked back to kennel and placed him in kennel he seemed more relax.

Folks, this young mom was on euthanasia list for Saturday. The vet had to go to dinner or something and left her until Monday.
Her puppies died.

She has an infection that is easily treated.

Volunteer networkers are trying to save Rusty - a sweet, playground helper dog in California, who is out of time (no extensions). This is the end of the line for him. A young, playful, healthy dog.

An adopter for him has been found and vetted in Florida, so he needs all the help he can get with his transport.

4/28/2026: Resident has a dog he has not fed or given water for over a week. Claims the dog does not belong to him.

📝 Shelter Notes:

5/2/2026: Timid during move adopt in the morning but opened up over the day and became very sweet and attention seeking.

5/4/2026: Mr. Tito is quiet in kennel and kept it clean. Easy to leash and walked out with a calm body and slow moving tail.

5/9/2026: Mr. Tito was easy to leash though he pulled forward on leash and ignored treats while walking. Quiet in kennel throughout the day.

5/10/2026: Dog stays in front of kennel and walks on a loose leash until approaching runs, then begins pulling forward and volunteer had to stop several times due to pulling.

5/11/2026: Tito was a bit forward on leash. Volunteer attempted distraction with treats but he showed little interest. Kennel door was covered but he started pulling at the sheet. Tito has been calm and quiet in kennel.

5/12/2026: Tito was standing by kennel door when volunteer approached with a little vocalization. Easy to leash and walked forward on leash. Attempted distraction with treats but showed little interest.

5/13/2026: Tito was standing by kennel door when volunteer approached. A little vocal but easy to leash. Walked forward on leash and did not care for treats.

5/14/2026: Walking forward on leash in the morning. In the runs he went potty and played with neighboring dogs. Walking back he was ready to go inside and tried to dart out when closing door.

5/15/2026: Jumping onto volunteer while walking on leash. Treats helped redirect but then he began air snapping at volunteer's knee in kennel. Remained quiet playing with toys.

5/16/2026: Tito walked on a tight leash due to pulling in multiple directions and jumping on volunteer's leg on the way to outside runs. He paid little attention to other dogs while passing them. In the run he started to play bow and hop side to side in front of the gate. Walking back inside he continued to hop around and tried grabbing volunteer's leg with his paws.

5/17/2026: Dog was in kennel with wagging tail and when leashed walked semi tight to the runs. Bringing him back he kept walking forward and tried to toss treats back for him to follow. He kept pushing volunteer away from him while walking and when placed in kennel he kept trying to jump on volunteer but focused on chicken in kennel and ate it.

This is Harmony; she's a 4 year old female pit mix, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, gets along with dogs and cats.

House trained - I take her outside to potty 4 times a day, typically at 8AM/12-1PM/5PM/9PM. She has never had an accident in the house.

Somewhat leash trained - she will pull at the start when she's excited but calms down if you make her sit for a second.

Sometimes barks at people passing by outside - This is hit or miss, it appears to be a case-by-case basis and not a gender/race/size discrepancy.

Personality:

Very playful, loves her toys, playing tug of war, fetch, and knows a small amount of commands such as "sit", "down", "up", "shake", "speak", and playing dead when you say "Bang" with a finger gun motion.

Treat motivated, I keep some generic by the lb. treats from Rural King, collagen rolls/sticks, and peanut butter on hand for when she's being a good girl. She also loves pup cups from any restaurant and I will admit I do give her the occasional cheese burger when I haven't been able to give her as much attention as I'd prefer. You just have to ask her if she's "Ready to do some tricks?" and she'll hop to it.

Was raised in a 2-dog/2-cat household with her sister up until 3 months ago when my living situation changed, and has been alongside 2 older cats until now. She has only had one occurrence of showing any kind of food aggression - barking at my mother's cat a week or so after we moved in. She has never bit or otherwise harmed anything, but will tear up a stuffed squirrel like nobody's business.

Backstory:

Harmony was born as a stray farm dog. My girlfriend at the time wanted to help her daughter's father rehome the strays that were born on his property. She ended up adopting her out to our neighbor who, at the time, we believed was a decent person. Over the next 2 years I watched her go from being an inside, heavily attended, seemingly loved part of their family to an emaciated yard ornament. It escalated to a point where we were giving her food & water daily because she simply was not being attended to and appeared to be on the brink of starvation.

I will spare you some details, but Harmony ended up being abandoned in the back yard. We felt entirely responsible for her being in that situation, so we agreed we would take her in until we could find a suitable home for her.

I have worked on rehabilitating her to the best of my abilities, but I am not a professional dog trainer by any means. She's since been spayed, gotten up to date on her shots, and no longer cowers in fear when approached. I'd like to start the process of finding a new home for her, one with someone more knowledgeable than myself and equipped to handle a dog that was abused as a young pup.

I realize due to my own personal problems I have waited well past the traditional "foster period", but ultimately I am not equipped to give Harmony the attention or active lifestyle she deserves.

Please help me find a GOOD home for Harmony. Someone that will treat her as family and has the time/resources to invest in this incredibly good girl along with the knowledge of what caring for a previously abused dog entails.
