📣Happy Friday from Hope! She's been stealing all the attention over with Dr. Ashlyn and the team at The Veterinary Clinic at Copper Crowne, we're so hopeful things are heading in the right direction after her emergency c-section earlier this week where sadly all her puppies were deceased.

Exhausted and anemic, we've kept her at the hospital for close observation, and fingers crossed she'll head out on Monday! 🙏

She originally came into the City of Opelousas Shelter pregnant, with no indication that she was having any problems. Street Dawgs recently took her under their rescue arm.

She is an absolute sweetheart. If anyone out there has room in their heart and home for a gentle girl who has already been through so much, please message us or Street Dawgs .

But for now, Hope is safe, resting and surrounded by people who love her. We’ll keep you posted on this angel. ❤️🐾

💙Meet Max, this angel is in great hands now thanks to a community rallying around him! That's dear Em over at The Veterinary Clinic at Copper Crowne getting him all checked in this morning!

He was lucky enough to wander up to some houses in Sunset, LA in search of food where compassionate neighbors- The Guidry's and The Roy's- refused to turn a blind eye. They posted and shared last night and word got to us for help.

We have had foster/rescue offers but since we've found a remarkable foster in Trace Veillon who dropped everything this morning to go pick him and get him to the vet, we're going to wait and get more info on the condition of the angel.

We know he's emaciated. He only weighs 38 pounds.

But he is the sweetest boy, and we will do our very best for him.

We have 4 dogs hospitalized today, we seldom do $5 Fridays, but if you're in a position to help, it simple allows us to keep saying yes to angels like Max in need!

We're so grateful Trace and her husband stepped up, they're very familiar with refeeding syndrome.

A special thanks to our supporter Kerolyn in Leesville, who offered to help in minutes, although it won't work with rescue, it took pressure off.

📣 Poor Hope went into labor early today, and sadly, the situation quickly turned dire. 🥲

We’re so grateful to Dr. Ashlyn and the team at The Veterinary Clinic at Copper Crowne for getting her right in for an emergency C-section. Heartbreakingly, all of her puppies had already passed, but she is doing well at this time. 💔

Hope was exhausted and anemic, although thankfully not quite to the point of needing a blood transfusion. Once she was out of recovery, the team showered this sweet girl with hugs, kisses and plenty of food. ❤️

We’ll keep her at the hospital for a day or two while she recovers, but what Hope really needs next is a family of her own.

Luna was transported today to her new rescue! - Opelousas to New Orleans - This 21# baby just wants LOVE and to chase her little tail nub!

Luna is going under the wing of the compassionate team at New Orleans Bulldog Rescue and we are so grateful to them! ❤

Dumped with Lacey at Prejean Park in Lake Charles, thanks to their compassionate finder Kiley and our wonderful supporters they both got the care they needed asap! Lacey has a wonderful foster, (fingers crossed adopter) lined up and now this great news for Luna!!

Thank you to Dr. Kristen, Dr. Ali and the compassionate LVCC team who have been by his side since arrival, monitoring two IV lines and pushing meds and talking sweetly reassuring him he was loved. We are heartbroken for them as well.

This sweet boy is fighting for his life at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center after testing positive for parvo, with suspected pneumonia as well.

We're incredibly grateful to Dr. Ali for staying late to get Cosmos' treatment started before handing his care over to Dr. Kristen and the overnight team. We're so lucky to have their help and compassion. Right now, his prognosis is not good. We've told the team to do everything possible to give him a chance, as long as he isn't suffering.

Just a month ago, Cosmos was found chained to a levee with one of the worst embedded collars the LVCC team had ever seen. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to cover his emergency care and the weeks of wound care and bandage changes that followed. He had been making such encouraging progress.

Then, just a few days ago, everything changed.

His foster, Teri Ancelet, noticed he wasn't feeling well, and despite everyone's best efforts, he deteriorated rapidly today. He is now hospitalized where he can receive the 24/7 intensive care he desperately needs.

Trying to save Cosmos will cost thousands of dollars, but right now our focus isn't the bill—it's giving this precious boy every chance to pull through.

Please say a prayer for Cosmos, for Teri, and for the incredible doctors, technicians, and staff at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center who are doing everything in their power to save him.

📣It's a #TerrificTuesday for these three neglected angels from Rayville! ❤️

Meet Chowder, Roman, and Sally—all lovingly named by the families who have already opened their hearts and homes to them.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, these sweet pups are leaving their difficult pasts behind and stepping into the very best years of their lives.

🐾 Chowder may have lost an eye, but he gained something far more precious—the love of Abigail, who works at the veterinary clinic and completely fell in love with him.

🐾 Roman, the other little guy, has a wonderful new mama who's absolutely smitten.

🐾 And Sally, the biggest of the trio, now has a human brother who already adores his new best friend.

Just a couple of days ago, their future looked very different. After compassionate rescuers Cheyenne, Canaan, and Sharon refused to look the other way. When they learned of these dogs living in heartbreaking conditions, they didn't just feel sorry for them—they took action. They contacted law enforcement, fought to get them to safety, and stayed committed every step of the way.

Thanks to our supporters, we were able to step in and cover their emergency care at the Emergency Pet Hospital in Monroe, followed by Chowder's eye removal surgery at Morris Veterinary Hospital.

Once the fleas were gone, Cheyenne cleaned them up, gave them warm beds and full bellies, and with a little extra help from friends, all three also received much-needed baths and nail trims as they began their journey to recovery.

Today, they're no longer victims of neglect—they're cherished family members.

Thank you to Cheyenne, Canaan, Sharon, the wonderful veterinary teams, and every supporter who made it possible to say "yes." Because of you, three deserving dogs now know exactly what it feels like to be loved. ❤️🏡

❤️ From ICU to I Love You ❤️ Some stories just stay with you forever... and Rhodes' is one of them.

Just a few short weeks ago, this sweet boy was wandering the streets, terrified, emaciated, covered in painful skin infections, and trusting no one... until two determined animal lovers, Hannah and Abigail, discovered that the way to his heart was a Whole Foods rotisserie chicken. 🍗❤️

Fast forward to today...

Rhodes made his triumphant return to the very team at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center that refused to give up on him. There were hugs, smiles, tail wags, and yes... Hannah and Abigail wouldn't have dreamed of showing up without another Whole Foods chicken... and a bag full of chicken toys, of course! 😂🍗🐔

It felt less like a veterinary visit and more like a family reunion.

His amazing foster mom, Emilie, made the trip all the way from New Orleans to Lafayette to safely deliver him home, where he was welcomed by none other than Dr. Ali—the veterinarian who helped save his life and who now gets to be his official personal veterinarian because a member of her own family has fallen in love with this incredible boy.

Talk about a full-circle moment. ❤️

None of this would have been possible without YOU.

Because of your generosity, we were able to say "yes" when Rhodes needed us most. Together, we got him the emergency care he desperately needed before entrusting him to our wonderful partners at Trampled Rose Rescue. Holly and Emilie poured their hearts into helping his battered skin heal, putting healthy weight back on his tiny frame, and showing him what love feels like.

And the best part? His journey isn't over yet.

Now that Rhodes is back in Lafayette, we'll be able to begin his fast-kill heartworm treatment so he can enjoy the long, healthy life he has always deserved.

From ICU... to "I love you."

From surviving... to thriving.

From a frightened stray who trusted only a rotisserie chicken... to a beloved family member who will never wonder where his next chicken leg - or his next hug - is coming from. 🐔💗🍗

📣 Sometimes what looks like aggression is really just a cry for help. ❤️🐾

A huge thank you to Dr. Meghan and the compassionate team at Ville Platte Veterinary Clinic for making time in their busy day to help this precious pup who was in so much pain.

Our good friend Ron with Street Dawgs was at the Ville Platte Pound today when they received a call from a woman at a retirement community who wanted to surrender a dog because she was preparing for knee surgery.

When Ron arrived, he realized she truly didn't know what to do. She'd only had the dog for about a week and a half and explained that the pup was biting anyone who tried to touch her.

It didn't take Ron long to discover why.

The dog was wearing a harness that was several sizes too small. It had become embedded into her front legs, cutting so deeply that the wounds extended to the bone. Every movement must have been excruciating.

It was a heartbreaking reminder that what we sometimes mistake for "bad behavior" can actually be an animal desperately trying to protect itself from unbearable pain.

Ron immediately called Dr. Meghan and asked if there was any way she could squeeze the pup into an already packed schedule. As always, she didn't hesitate.

The sweetest part? Within minutes of that painful harness being removed, this little angel melted into Dr. Meghan's arms. The fear was gone. The biting stopped. She simply wanted comfort.

Thanks to the generosity of our incredible supporters, we were able to step in and cover the surgery she needed to begin healing.

And here's the best news... once she's all healed up, this cutie patootie will be looking for a forever home! ❤️

📣Remember the dog who couldn't even stand? The one abandoned with eight other dogs after his family was evicted... left to survive under a single tarp with little more than the kindness of neighbors occasionally tossing them food. 🥲

📣Special Delivery for Cosmo! 🐾📦When Cosmo heard he had a special care package delivered to him today at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center, he asked vet nurse Kortney if she'd mind packing it up and driving it over to his new hotel.

Well... we figured he'd prefer a hotel over a hospital stay. With all the care and attention, he's getting, it might as well be one. ❤️😉

Cosmo has transferred to our friends at Rice City Animal Hospital, where Dr. Erin and her team will continue the intensive wound care he needs. The damage from his embedded collar is, without question, one of the worst we've ever seen.

For those who want to better understand the reality of rescue, we've shared a covered graphic photo in the comments. It's difficult to look at, but it's also a reminder of why this work matters so much.

A huge thank you to The Pitale Family and the Krewe of Barkey Malarkey for making sure Cosmo's first stop at his new place included an extra-special delivery of treats. He's already been enjoying them! 🦴🍖

Cosmo's story began when two compassionate people were out frogging in Henderson and spotted him tied to a tree. We're so grateful they refused to look away. Thank you to Lisa Primeaux for taking the emergency call and to Terri, who dropped everything late that evening to meet the finders and rush Cosmo to Lafayette Veterinary Care Center.

Dr. John told us it was one of the worst embedded collar injuries he'd ever treated, with a deep wound already infested with maggots.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. John and the entire team at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center for once again being there 365 days a year when animals need them most. They immediately started Cosmo on IV fluids, powerful antibiotics, pain medication, and the long process of twice-daily wound care and bandage changes.

Thankfully, Dr. Erin and the incredible Rice City team are perfectly equipped to continue his treatment and help this sweet boy heal.

Cosmo has a long road ahead, but for the first time in a very long time, he's surrounded by people who won't let him down.

Our dear friend Terri Ancelet never turns a blind eye, no matter the time. When fellow Eunice Shelter volunteer Lisa Primeaux got called about this poor soul found tied to a tree in Henderson by the levee, there was no way she could say no to picking him up.

His compassionate finders were out frogging and came across him, and Dr. John said it's one of the worst embedded collars he's ever seen.

They have him on pain meds, fluids, and antibiotics, and although this won't be a quick recovery, we'll make sure we assist Terri with all the wound care!

📣 It's a wrap! 🩷🩵🐾What a day it's been for sweet Trixie!

She delivered five beautiful puppies all on her own, but then labor came to a stop. Sadly, one puppy became stuck while three more were still waiting to make their grand entrance.

Thankfully, Dr. Karen and the incredible team at Folsom Veterinary Clinic were ready to jump into action. An emergency C-section was the only option, and we're so grateful they did. Precious Angel #6 had already passed, and the remaining three babies would not have survived without their quick care.

The happy ending? Trixie is now the proud mama of 8 absolutely beautiful puppies! ❤️🐶 Four girls and four boys! 😱

The sweetest moment of all? Before she was even fully awake from surgery, this devoted mama was already trying to find her babies.

After everyone got the all-clear this evening, Trixie freshened up, proudly sported her new Folsom Vet bandana, and climbed into her wonderful foster mom Natalie's car to finally head home. After six days of false puppy alarms, today was definitely worth the wait!

We're also incredibly thankful that Dr. Karen was able to spay Trixie during surgery, so this precious girl will never have to go through another pregnancy again. Trixie has officially announced her retirement from motherhood and says eight puppies is more than enough! 😂🐾

It was truly all hands on deck as the team (young😉 and old) warmed the puppies, made sure every tiny one was thriving, and reunited them with their very happy mama.

Thank you to everyone who has followed Trixie's journey, cheered her on, and sent so much love her way.

📣Meet Squirt, this poor angel with an obvious broken leg was found as a stray in Lafayette Parish and no one ever stepped up for her. 🥲

Thankfully good Samaritan Lily did. Posting, taking it to the shelter hoping to get it help, and luckily reaching out to us when all else had failed.

Thanks to our wonderful supporters, Squirt is resting comfortably with pain meds over at our friends at Crowley Veterinary Hospital.

We're grateful they could work him right in and we'll keep you updated on this angel!

📣 It's finally time!!! 😱 Puppy Watch is officially over, and the delivery has begun! 💗

Trixie is being attended to by her concierge obstetricians, Dr. Karen and Dr. Sandy, over at Folsom Veterinary Clinic, and we are so grateful to both of them and their compassionate staff!

Trixie has had everyone—especially her wonderful foster, Natalie—on pins and needles all week, so we're thrilled to announce the arrival of the very first little angel! 🐶💕

🐔📦 Saturday Night Rhodes Report... Rhodes had a busy day!❤️

This handsome boy packed up his toys, said goodbye to his wonderful foster mom, Holly, and made the trip to New Orleans, where he'll be hanging out for a while with longtime Trampled Rose Rescue foster, Emilie Airhart. 😍

Holly has a special gift for evaluating new arrivals and helping determine exactly what they need as they begin their rescue journey. We're so grateful she gave Rhodes a soft place to land, lots of love, and helped him continue gaining strength. ❤️

Now it's Emilie's turn! She has a soft spot for medical cases, and Rhodes still needs a little extra TLC as he puts on weight and continues healing those wounds. We know he's in wonderful hands.

🐔 But let's talk about the important business... CHICKEN! 🍗🍗

Rhodes called an emergency meeting of his Chimken Club Ambassadogs today and insisted on placing a very special order first thing in the morning. ❤️

Tomorrow, thanks to all of his incredible Chimken Club members, a fresh chicken lunch from Whole Foods will be delivered to the hospitalized pups at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center—the very hospital and care team that saved his life. We hear his favorite doctor, Dr. Ali, has already been notified to expect a very important delivery! 🍗🐾

From a scared, emaciated stray who only trusted a bag of rotisserie chicken... to paying it forward one chicken at a time.

We couldn't love this boy more. ❤️

That's the official review precious Rhodes gave his foster mom Holly's yard. 😂😆

Just look at that green grass! A week and a half ago, this sweet boy was rescued in heartbreaking condition with a body score of just 3/9. Today he's enjoying fresh air, soft grass, and all the chicken his heart desires.🍗

Holly reports his skin is looking better every single day thanks to lots of TLC, medications, deworming, and of course... the famous Rhodes Chicken Club. 🐔❤️

Tomorrow he'll head out from Holly's to another wonderful Trampled Rose Rescue foster to continue gaining weight and healing.

And we have some exciting news! In just a couple of weeks, Rhodes is expected to head back to Lafayette where a relative of one of his amazing veterinarians is planning to foster-to-adopt while he undergoes his heartworm treatment. We couldn't ask for a better next chapter for this deserving boy.

And speaking of the Chimken Club... thanks to all of Rhodes' wonderful members, Hannah and Abigail (the duo that rescued him with a bag of rotisserie chicken!) will be delivering another Whole Foods chicken feast to hospitalized pups this Sunday. Because sometimes medicine heals... and sometimes chicken helps too. ❤️🐔🍗

🐶💕 Oh, what a day... and it just might turn into Oh, What a Night!😉

Sweet Trixie gave her wonderful foster, Natalie (left), quite the scare this morning. First-time "doggie midwife" Natalie noticed Trixie was having spasms in her back legs and just wasn't acting like herself. Needless to say, mama and babies made an unexpected trip to the ER!

From there, they headed over to our dear friends at Folsom Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. Karen (right) was waiting. Many of you may remember Dr. Karen from her days helping us in Opelousas, and now she's joined her mom, Dr. Sandy, in Folsom! They're both outstanding surgeons and we knew Trixie couldn't be in better hands if a C-section became necessary. ❤

The ultrasound showed at least eight—possibly nine!—healthy puppies, all looking great. While everyone was preparing for the possibility of surgery, Trixie's progesterone level was still a little too high to safely proceed this afternoon. That's actually encouraging, as it tells us the puppies still need just a little more time.

The good news? Everything points toward Trixie being able to deliver naturally. But if those babies decide they need a little extra help in the middle of the night, Dr. Karen is ready to meet her at the clinic.

For now, Trixie is back home, happily settled into her cozy, blanket-lined baby pool... just waiting to decide when it's showtime! 🩷🐾

📣 Rhodes Update! 🐔 Rhodes made it to our friends at Trampled Rose Rescue & Rehab yesterday and is already enjoying the green grass and greener pastures! 🌿🌴

It's amazing what a little love, a lot of care, and perhaps a few rotisserie chickens can do. 🍗❤️

With each passing day, Rhodes is looking more and more like the happy, healthy dog he was always meant to be. 🐾

🚨Boo, a dog saved by our organization, went missing from St. Francis Animal Sanctuary in Tylertown more than a month ago.

We were told Boo escaped from her outdoor kennel during a thunderstorm just two days before she was scheduled to leave for a loving home in Wisconsin.

BOO HAS BEEN MISSING FOR OVER A MONTH 🚨

We're asking everyone to help us reach the people of Tylertown, Mississippi and the surrounding communities.

At the time Boo went missing, she was not wearing a collar and had not been microchipped. There is also no perimeter fence around the property.

Since learning Boo was missing, we have done everything we can think of to bring her home. We have posted throughout lost pet groups, purchased targeted Facebook ads in the Tylertown area, offered a $500 reward, and shared her story repeatedly. We even sent funds to help purchase cameras after learning there were none on site.

Sadly, despite all of these efforts, Boo has not been found.

We have also been targeted by multiple lost pet scams. Most recently, we were contacted by someone claiming Boo had been found and then quickly reclaimed by an unknown man. We have been unable to verify that information, but we are sharing the details in case they mean something to someone in the community.

We were told:
• A woman identified as Elizabeth Russell allegedly found Boo.
• She stated a man reclaimed him at Tylertown Animal Hospital.
• She described him as carrying a motorcycle helmet but did not see a motorcycle or vehicle.
• She felt Boo did not appear to know the man.
• The only contact information provided for him was the Telegram username: @Keonn900.

We cannot confirm any of this information, but after more than a month with no answers, we feel it is important to share.

If you know anyone in the Tylertown area, please ask them to keep an eye out for Boo and share this post. Someone knows something. Whether Boo is being cared for by a family who doesn't realize she is missing, or whether someone has seen her and doesn't realize she's being searched for, we just want answers.

Most importantly, we are desperate to bring Boo home.
