Panda is only 13 months old, incredibly friendly, and already at risk of losing his life simply because he has been waiting too long for a home.

This sweet boy is friendly with both people and other dogs and currently shares his kennel with another dog. He’s young, heartworm negative, and has his entire life ahead of him. He just needs the right person to see him in time.

Panda has been at Harris County Pets for well over 15 days and is considered a long-stay dog at an overcrowded shelter. Long-stay dogs can be at risk of euthanasia for space on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

Diego arrived at Harris County Pets as a stray on July 4th. Being captured with a catch pole was understandably frightening for him, but despite that stressful start, Diego has shown that he is friendly with both dogs and people.

He has now been waiting at the shelter for weeks and is well beyond the 15-day mark, making him at risk of euthanasia for space. He needs an adopter, foster, or rescue to help him get out safely.

SKYE lost her home because of circumstances with her owner — not because of anything she did. 💔 Now this sweet 2-year-old girl is sitting in a loud shelter wondering where her family went.

Despite everything, SKYE is described as sweet and calm. 💕 She already knows basic commands, is curious about the other dogs she sees, and has even shown curiosity toward cats. Loud noises can scare her, so the shelter environment is especially difficult for her.

At only 2 years old, SKYE has her whole life ahead of her. She’s past the tiny puppy stage but still young enough for years of walks, adventures and couch cuddles with her person. 🐾

One of MOCHA’s kennel friends was adopted last week, and her kennelmate ALFIE now has an adoption hold and will be going home soon.

But MOCHA is still waiting for someone to choose HER.

MOCHA has been at the shelter since 7/10 and is now URGENT due to her length of stay. Dogs who have been there 15+ days are at risk of euthanasia for space on Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings.

Despite spending over a month in an incredibly loud, stressful shelter, MOCHA is still a happy, friendly girl. She is very dog friendly and has shared her kennel with other female dogs. 🐶❤️
