A SOLEMN APOLOGY FROM YOUR ENGLISH BULL TERRIER

To my beloved humans,

I regret to inform you that upon hearing the first BOOM tonight, I abandoned all dignity I have spent years building.

I knocked over the water bowl. I wedged my egg-shaped head and entire torso behind the toilet, a space clearly meant for objects one-tenth my size. I sat directly on your chest at 9:47pm, trembling dramatically, as if the apocalypse itself had personally requested my presence in your lap.
I did not “handle it like a big girl,” as you so hopefully suggested in March.

I understand you tried. The white noise machine. The thunder shirt. The frozen peanut butter Kong, abandoned mid-lick the moment the neighbors started celebrating their independence with what sounds like a minor war.

I am not sorry for the frantic laps around the living room. That was necessary.

I am not sorry for trying to fit my entire body inside the bathtub despite being shaped like a very determined potato.

But I am sorry… truly… for making you miss the finale because you were busy holding my face and whispering “it’s okay girl” to a dog who was actively planning her escape to Canada.

We’ll try again next year. I make no promises.

Every morning Tro gets up activated and set to 11. Throws all my pillows and covers off the bed by pulling an aggressive wiggle worm routine and spins a few times then looks at me "Alright I'm ready! What's next?!" After his tour of the apartment and I wrangle him into his harness we go potty.♥️

Hallie (#A2083075), 6-Year-Old Bull Terrier Mix girl with Skin and Eye Issues, Faces Euthanasia Tuesday 6/30 at 1 PM (BARC, Houston, TX). Found as stray, this girl needs some ointments and namely love and support from a caring family. Can be adopted to US/Canada. Please help this cute target 🎯 girl

**Houston, TX: Hallie Is Suffering and Out of Time — 6-Year-Old Bull Terrier Mix Needs Rescue, Foster, or Adopter by Tuesday 1 PM**
Hallie (#A2083075) arrived at BARC as a stray on June 27 and is already facing euthanasia.
This 6-year-old Bull Terrier mix has significant untreated medical issues and desperately needs someone willing to give her a chance. Despite her condition, there are currently no behavioral concerns documented in her record.
Hallie is suffering from:
• Extensive hair loss and inflamed skin
• Scabbing and irritation across her back and tail area
• A partially cloudy left eye
• Difficulty fully opening her right eye
• Heartworm disease
• Ongoing discomfort requiring medical care
Shelter veterinarians have specifically requested a rescue plea because of her medical condition.
At just 45 pounds, Hallie should be receiving treatment, comfort, and a safe place to heal—not facing euthanasia.
What we know about Hallie:
🐾 6 years old
🐾 Female Bull Terrier Mix
🐾 45 lbs
🐾 Heartworm Positive
🐾 No behavioral concerns documented
🐾 Currently receiving antibiotics and parasite treatment
🐾 Needs medical rescue, foster, or adopter
⏰ DEADLINE: TUESDAY, 6/30 AT 1 PM CT
BARC has stated there will be no extensions.
🏡 Adoption, foster, and rescue inquiries are urgently needed.
🚗 Out-of-state and Canadian adoptions may be possible through rescue partners. Transport typically costs around $600 USD and includes transport, boarding, veterinary care, spay/neuter, and a health certificate.
Hallie did not choose to be sick. She did not choose to be abandoned. Right now, she needs someone to see beyond her medical condition and give her the opportunity to recover and experience kindness.
