Bruce my first English Bulldog

After losing my 11 year old French bulldog last year, I finally felt ready to get another dog. Always loved English bulldogs and once I saw Bruce I had to get him.

Xander aka Mr Wiggle Pants

Hi Pup friends. I’m new here and my hooman wanted to show me off. Pics are from 3 months to now 9 months. I’m a fatty at 53lbs but still a big baby who loves puppy play camp and stroller rides.

My new baby !

I’m driving about 8 hours away this weekend to pick up my new baby. The person who has her can’t afford to take care of her and it was either re home or the shelter. I just couldn’t let her go to the shelter so I’m trekking to go get this cute baby. She is about a year old and fully bred English bulldoggie. This will be my third bulldog so im very excited.

Even though it’s not Tongue out Tuesday (or Thursday), I thought this was a nice picture of Zelda that my Zeldasitter sent me while I’m on the road.

Signs your bulldog is overheating ☀️🥵

With warmer weather coming up, I figured this was worth sharing because bulldogs can overheat so quickly.

Maxine starts panting HARD way before most dogs would.

What’s usually the first sign your bulldog is getting too hot?

Does anyone else have a bulldog who likes to shuffle things around?

Does anyone else’s bulldog do this and know why they do it? Objects she prefers to shuffle: medicine ball, heavy rocks in the creek, bricks (knows brick and rock by name). She will do it until exhaustion. I want to explore toy options she might love. Someone suggested a large herding ball. Right now she’s using a basketball.

Thanks all.

*Ellie had steroid withdrawal that caused calcinosis cutis and fur loss but is very healthy otherwise and extremely active. (She will be 9 in October)
