Specing my first table top cnc
I want to build my own tabletop cnc for aluminum, wood and sometimes steel. I dont care much for the size so i went with a 400mm total size and a 250mm usable space. I want to start watchmaking so percision is key. I have a 500euro budget but i exceeded it by a bit. Also i prefer being shipped from eu location as i have had trouble importing from china before.
For a spindle i found the 1.5KW 2200V Air Cooled Vevor unit. I think it has pretty good power and feature set for the price. I also used the equivelant VFD from vevor.
I used the pretty standard sbr16A rails 2 400mm for the x axis and the same fro the y as well as 2 200mm for the z. Along with them i used the sbr16uul bearing one for each rail.
I also found some pretty standard nema 23 motors with 19kg/cm from wentai motor. One for each axis. I found some DM556 drivers that seemed comaptible. I still havent found a good enough power supply that is available in europe any good recommendations would help a lot. I also used t8*8 lead screws as there are very common, cheap and wont have much whip in the shorter form facactor i am aiming at. I also found the HB3042 couplersm at a fair price to use.
I also forgot to meantion i only have one outlet but i think it will be enough. I will use petg cf 3d printed parts for all the mounts caps and miscelenious parts i wont think it will be a problem at least until i start machinig aluminum parts to be able to upgrade them. I dont have much experience with cncs i only have used 3d printers so far so any advice is appreciated
