I need a book that feels like the PNW mixed with How To Train Your Dragon

I've got a super long road trip tomorrow, and I'm wanting to read a book that feels like a mature How To Train Your Dragon set in the PNW. I'm not super picky about genre, but fantasy or contemporary is preferred. Any romance is great too, just as long as it's mostly clean (like something you'd let a 15-year-old read).

I'm rereading the series before the SOTR movie comes out

It's been well over two years since I first read The Hunger Games, and I finished SOTR in March this year. I never finished TBOSAS because I just plain didn't like it, but I'm determined to get through it this time around. I was wondering if anyone had a list of little details/easter eggs that they noticed while reading the series (Example: There are theories that Lenore Dove is Maude Ivory's daughter because when Snow first met Maude Ivory, he gave her gumdrops, which is obviously how he killed Lenore Dove). I've heard loads of other things, but I literally cannot find evidence of any, and I'm not sure how much is fanon or canon anyway. Also, if there are any specific little details you'd like to point out for me that I might miss, I'd love to hear them, because I've made a bad habit out of missing things. Don't worry about any spoilers either, I think I've heard just about everything. Another example I just saw was this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Hungergames/s/7MMO3aCMGx
