Is there a name for this feeling?

Is there a word to describe the feeling for when you're trying to tighten a flat string, and you keep tightening and tightening, but it's still flat... and then you realize you've been tightening the wrong string? I feel surely the Germans should have come up with something for this. Stringgetunenhertzenangst, or something.

What is the best way to write a lever change on Musescore?

I tried this, which was to put that little diamond symbol by the note I want changed, which I then made grey, to show that it's not played, it's just the note that's changing (left hand, that middle measure). Would that be clear to anyone who isn't me though?

Is there a better way on Musescore?

Or would I just sharp the G and trust people to know that if they want a G sharp there, they're going to have to use the lever?

Oregon EV credits might re-open this summer

If you're on the verge of getting a new (or new to you) car, you might want to consider an electric or hybrid. The federal credits were canceled, but Oregon might still have them. From what I gather, they open and then run out of money pretty quickly because they're so popular. But it looks like you can pre-qualify for the income-based grants (the "charge ahead" program), so if they do open this summer, you'd be poised and ready to go.

Note that you can only apply for the grants themselves while they're open, not retroactively, and they don't apply to cars sold by private owners, only dealerships and manufacturers. When we got our EV, we checked out almost every dealership in Eugene, but ended up buying from Platt Auto in Portland, which deals exclusively in EVs and is also very knowledgeable about the rebates and handles the application. (They also had the best prices.)

Any Nissan Leaf owners here?

Who have changed the 12-volt battery themselves? Looks like ours is dead. Husband is not confident changing it himself. We could wait till Monday, when the shop can look at it. But would love to get it done today because I’ll be out of town from tomorrow (and would like to do so with our other car—though there are backup options). I’d offer a little $ to someone willing to stand beside him (or to do it). Preferably someone who knows this sort of car. Car is in SE Eugene.

Is this a sign of a dead 12 volt battery?

Husband drove his Leaf to work tonight (1.7 miles) with no drama. Afterwards, it wouldn’t start. When he tried, the odometer started flashing like a disco, and wouldn’t do anything else.

We called a tow truck, who was able to jump start it. But husband is driving it to the local automotive place, not our house, and we’ll ask them to check it in the morning. But they’re not a Nissan dealer or anything.

Does this sound like a 12-volt problem? Car is a 2021 S model, and we bought it used. Also we know nothing. 😂
