Help 'Quit on red X button click if last window open'

Hello, I'm trying to have my Mac behave a little more like Windows when closing apps. I have found several posts about this, but none are up to date with BTT I think? I cannot find a trigger such as 'Red Window Button' or such like it. If anyone knows or could share their reset file, that would be wonderful.

Plugin that tags all references in a .docx bibliography and saves a tag search to the collections pane

Hey everyone,

I switched to Zotero a few years ago from EndNote after realising I would loose access to my library after graduating. But I really miss the feature 'document auto-group' where EndNote would create a temporary group folder containing all the references I'd cited in that open document.

So, I created a Zotero plugin that reads a specified Word document, finds every Zotero item you've cited in it, and tags those items in your Zotero library. You'll then be prompted to assign a custom tag name on the first run, and the plugin will add that tag to every item in the bibliography. It then creates a saved tag search with the same name to make finding the list easier. Acts as a permanent-until-deleted "citations in this document" folder in the collections pane. Re-run it whenever you edit and save the document - the tags update to match. More information is in the GitHub page.

Tested on Windows and Mac, Z9 and Z10. This is the first plugin I've made public, so any feedback, bugs, or advice is welcome either here or on GitHub.

Which model fit test?

I’m trying to decide between 2 sets of adjusters in a cox regression with an interaction term. There is theoretical reasons to include and not include a particular 3 adjusters. It’s to do with child development, I’m interested in 2x specific domains of development on the outcome, but my supervisor wants to know if my results are picking up the other domains which I wasn’t adjusting for. When I add the other 3 domains into the model, the hazards actually increase. Suggesting to me that my theory is correct, that the 2 domains I’m interested in matter the most. But my supervisor says that including the other domains shows that in fact, when taking into account the child’s full developmental picture, the 2 main domains matter even more and therefore I should include them.

So I’m trying to find a way to assess which model is the best. I don’t know if it matters if it’s by testing fit or prediction performance. From what I can gather (psych/public heath/epi PhD, not a stats PhD) the AIC and BIC are good for this task, but when I ran them, they’re inconclusive as far as I can tell. Is there another test I could do? Or is this now a case of pick one and justify it, move on and wait for peer-review feedback 😅

Sewed my first hammock and they like it 🥰

They hardly touched the store bought one. Made it out of a too small fleece jumper and an old pillow case ☺️

Escaped baby rat under built-in bathroom cabinet

Got my kids 3x juvenile rats yesterday, set them up in their cage and all was going well. My 9yr old wanted to let his rat roam as he was the most active and “brave” of the 3x. I suggested my ensuite - thinking it’d be the safest place 😣 I didn’t know there was 2 holes in the corners of my vanity unit! Rookie mistake. I also didn’t think about live traps until it was too late to go up the shops. Hoping to catch him by hand, I left rat food treat biscuits with smeared with peanut butter just outside the hole. Also “plugged” one hole with a shallow disk of water propped right up flush to the cabinet. I heard him drinking and scurrying around under the cabinet. Even glimpses of his face to sniff. Anyway, went to bed at midnight but didn’t think to remove the food, and in the morning it was all gone!

So now I’ve set up 3x live mouse traps - with fresh banana. I’ve taken away the water. I’m hoping he comes out for water after eating dry biscuits and fatty peanut butter. But I’m really worried I’ll kill him without access to water. Pic of the little guy before he escaped and sent my son into a fit of despair and I got the worst case of mum/pet owner guilt ever 😭

Any advice? I’m really hoping he becomes active overnight like last night but I’m worried I’ve fed him enough to last a week and now with no water he’ll die without realising he’s thirsty?
