Need advice on removing this stuck flare on the hard Brake Line
To preface, I’m planning on replacing the hardline anyway as I bought new steel ones as this one had a leak which made the brakes unusable.
What should be a simple job has turned into a headache and I’m looking to outsource my thinking to some people on here. I tried the right size wrench and it had no give, I soaked it in PB blaster a hand full of times and used a vice grip and it still didn’t give. Now I’m left with a handful of options.
A) cut the line and try to approximate the right size socket on the rounded knub.
B) vice grips and torch her?
C) cut the line and use a bolt extractor.
I’ve been wrenching on cars for a few years now but this has been the most annoying experience I’ve ever dealt with, funny enough everything else under the car is decent it’s really just this one thing that’s been so tricky. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
