You’re going to have bad days, sometimes really bad days.. depending on how much you loved that person. And honestly, that just shows how deeply you cared.

One thing that genuinely helped me numb the pain and slowly move forward was meeting new people.

Not necessarily jumping into another serious relationship right away, but just being around new energy, new conversations, and new experiences. Even casual dating can help remind you that life still exists outside of your breakup.

You might still think about your ex while talking to new people, and that’s okay. Healing isn’t about instantly forgetting someone.

It’s about slowly replacing pain, isolation, and emptiness with new meaning and experiences.

You've probably already heard the obvious answers, working out, new hobbies, hanging out with family and friends etc, Those are fantastic too.

As someone who feels deeply and hurts deeply, I understand what some of you are going through and I want you to feel safe.
