I secretly and selfishly want to see the stock market go way down so I can aggressively buy more at a lower price entry point and then recover the earnings at a later date and retire earlier.

I believe in and practice dollar cost averaging, but this is a rather selfish alternative strategy that could work for me but would impact others that are closer to retirement.
