Advice:Ozone byproducts and removal of odor
My dad left the sunroof of my car open and a bunch of water got in. It left a really musty smell and I decided to remove the seats and lift the carpets (and remove the drivers side carpet completely) until it fully dried. The musty smell was there but just not as bad. So I decided to run an ozone machine in the car for around 2 hours. It’s been probably 3 months, and there’s a faint pungent and mildly musty smell to the car that won’t really go away. It can get on my clothes and I’m getting annoyed haha. I heard that the smell could be a byproduct of the ozone. I’m trying to remove the smell. I plan on removing the seats again and I bought an enzyme spray that I will use on the carpets and seats and I’ll steam everything. I also bought charcoal bags that I plan on putting in the car. Am I on the right path or am I misunderstanding something? Any other advice? I’m 100 percent that there is no more water in the car, the carpets and the cushioning under the carpets are completely dry
