So my cat is just over a year old. She’s a typical girl cat - sassy and independent. She does like to come on my lap and enjoys pats and scratches, but on her terms haha. She’s a real character and we love her to bits.

Since I’m unable to work, she spends a lot of time with me. When she was a kitten she absolutely loved play fighting with me - attacking my foot or arm playfully, biting etc. We didn’t try to encourage this behaviour and we gave her lots of toys to play with.

However, recently she has started attacking me. It doesn’t feel playful. I’ll usually be sitting on the ground in the lounge when it happens. She’ll be sitting near me and will start swishing her tail, her ears with go back and she’ll then sometimes she attacks me, biting and kicking my arm. This evening, right before it happened, she even made a snarling noise. Unless I get up and go away, she’ll continue to attack me like this, seemingly getting more angry.

It always seems to be when I’m sitting on the ground and doing a task like folding washing or sewing. The only correlation I’ve noticed is that when she acts like this, it’s been at the time of day when she usually gets the zoomies and needs to get out some energy.

Any advice or questions welcome!

Okay guys, I love a good romance, but I’m a little bit picky - I’m looking for books that are clean and non cheesy. (I can only handle very small amounts of cheese 😂 and definitely nothing smutty).

I’m particularly interested in regency/historical romance. I love the classics (Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre etc). I’m not hugely keen on fantasy, but still open to recs. I’m also open to contemporary romance and YA recs as well.

An example of a book I recently enjoyed is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie society.
