I've had PoTS for half of my life and I've had ups and downs with controlling it. I've been on ivabridine (it helped a little, but not well), fludrocortisone (which worked well until I got long covid), bisoprolol (which again had limited effects) and I've been on and off with midodrine through the years as it's the only one that works 100% of the time, it just gives me some rough side effects. I'm currently on midodrine and sodium and I'm okay for the most part.

My partner and I are now thinking of our future and we've decided we want to start trying for children in around 9 months or so. I've been told since I started midodrine at 14 that I really need to consult doctors before getting pregnant as it's not recommended in pregnancy. Due to the severity of my symptoms (full syncope, near blackouts, 200bpm etc), I'm concerned about stopping midodrine. I guess my question is had anyone else found pregnancy okay with PoTS? What meds could you take and did your symptoms get worse or better? And when should I talk to my consultant etc?
