Desperate for answers. I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimotos for several years now but just last October developed chronic hives and started having experiences of angioedema and my allergist just said it’s due to thyroid antibodies in the blood and to treat it I just need to take 4 allergy pills a day.

But I feel like this is just bandaiding a problem and not getting to the root cause. And despite taking the allergy medicine I’ll still suffer pretty regularly from the lip swelling or hives.

Please share if you’ve had any experiences like this and how you treated it. I’m starting to get really worried and discouraged and afraid that next time it’ll be my tongue and throat.
