This is genuinely my last resort as I have exhausted all other options. I know it's the internet but please write something constructive if you're commenting.
I have been trying to transition my "flipped-up" fringe into a classic flow style for years. I've gotten very desperate as the natural state of my hair is how it looks in photo 4, so styling it to how it looks in photos 1-3 is a daily struggle. I only use water and a brush for help as it can hold its shape throughout the day. I have to tame it every morning and I can never wake up ready for the day. I imagine a flow style would be less variable and more dependable but I haven't been able to get it.
I've managed to get my hair from a complete fringe into a more parted one through styling alone. At my most recent cut, I explicitly stated I wanted the front and sides blended together. As I hope you can see on photos 5 and 6, my hair was more than long enough on the front and the sides. But now, I just have a shorter, tighter version of what I had before, even though me and my hairdresser understood each other. As you can tell from photo 4, brushing/styling it back would just make the hair bunch up super high on the sides which would look crazy and accentuate my hairline.
I'm asking for advice generally because I don't know what to think. Is a flow cut not achievable for my hair? What could I do to have a style that works with my hair instead of against it? My options are obviously more limited than most because of my extreme hairline, but I hate having hair on my face and I don't know what to do apart from getting a transplant at this point.
