I am looking for something for my landlord as a parting gift of sorts when I vacate the house, and though it is not scarf season where I am right now, I thought a Barbour scarf would still make for a nice gift.
I love the Classic Tartan, but he does not own many things of colour. His wardrobe is mostly black and grey, with a little bit of navy blue, accessories too. Most of his things in the house, like towels, kitchen utilities, are also black or grey.
I don't know if he would appreciate a colourful scarf or should I play it safe and gift him a plain Charcoal/ Blue Lambswool scarf.

(Sorry, if this question is stupid. I only learnt of Barbour quite recently and was wondering if the classic tartan is like a collectible. Also, I only know him well enough to either give him this or some Éclairs.)
